Great choice when playing support! Mostly picked if you have a great scaling comp. Dark harvest is hard to proc vs ranged champions though so works well if you are against low range adcs or tank supports! In solo lane comet or electrocute will always be more efficient!

Hi, very good guide, going to play Heimer a bit more now
I have some questions, though
Why is Everfrost built so rarely and not even mentioned here? It seems like a good item, as you want to hold enemies in your turrets range for longer, and slow and root are pretty good at it.
Also, is picking Inspiration secondary for Stopwatch and Bisquits a good option? I found it really fun to ruin enemy jungler's day with stopwatching under three turrets.
Are these just a playstyle preferences or these are just straight up bad options?

I love Heimerdinger, he is so kawaii. I am using him in toplane, but sometimes it gets hard to counter some characters, specially the long-range characters. Any tip to get better using Heimerdinger in toplane? Thank you for making this guide btw, because it helped mi a lot. Good luck with everything, i will be waiting more guides to another champions for you :D

Toplane I like going Rod of Ages then into morellos buddy! Utilise electrocute and auto attack most melee matchups constantly, this helps proc is and punish them for coming into range to cs. Try and get a kill pre-level 6 and focus on taking the tower - after first turret blood try to roam mid etc. If you are against a tanky matchup then you more than likely aren't going to kill them in lane once first turret falls/they build hexdrinker or spectres cowl. This is when it gets hard to play toplane. Winning the lane before they get these items really helps take control of the fights.

So why Rod of Ages and a Morellos? Why not stick with a Rylai's for slows and Luden's Echo to help kill farm?

Since patches change the meta regularly so does my playstyle/build. Nowadays I'd probably go Rod or Luden first toplane then surprisingly Rabadan or Void second.

The power spike from Rabadan is CRAZY (Only get this if you get ahead early) and Void helps with people rushing Spectres Cowl/Maw of Malmortis. Personally Rylais is a 3rd or 4th priority.
