Nintendo Switch Review Thread

I would be at more games but, Life, bills and priorities are a thing I'm also getting ready to embark and start my own business soon so I might as well start playing and reviewing what I have before moving forward with buying more games, but below is a list of games next on my list feel free to give me recommendations Games to buy next Super Mario odyssey Kirby Hyrule warriors Fire emblem Heros Bayonetta 2 Megaman Anniversary collection X and classics and what ever first party Nintendo games come out since most of the time they hold their value. First review I won't be doing these alphabetically or anything but I will start with 1-2 Switch [Spoiler=1-2 Switch Review] Just going to start off with it's not worth full price, wait for it to go on sale or just borrow it from a friend who was dumb enough to buy it at full price, "I got it on sale, I still paid to much" However it's still a decent collection of mini games that for the most part do a fantastic job showing off the what the joy-cons can do, there is one game that was really fun and did a fantastic job of using the controls, basically you pick up the controller and move it around and the HD rumble makes the controller feel as if it has tiny metal balls rolling around inside the controller, it's weird at first but it really does feel like they are in there; 3, 4, 7, or even up to 9, and you have to guess how many are in there, but after messing around with that for a few minutes it's gets old rather quickly, but the main event is a game called QuickDraw simply who can shot the other player faster. For 1-2 Switch grab a few friends and work through the game list and you will easily have 45-minutes to an hour and a half of pure fun, but once the fun ends it really ends. I mean the fun levels go from a solid 8-10 to zero fast, once your out of minigames and after playing QuickDraw for the 10th time 1-2 Switch is over, I got more mileage out of this game just because I'm also a youth pastor and I took it to youth group one night and we did a game night and that was a lot of fun, but outside of your first initial play-through or taking it to parties it doesn't have much of a replay factor. I give 1-2 Switch a 3.5 out of 10, but for that first hour or so it's easily a 10, then it just sucks. [/spoiler] [Spoiler=Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Review] Mario Kart 8 Review Alright I have gotten a lot of mileage out of this game eh it’s an overused pun but who cares. Now one thing I have noticed is a lot of people docking it points because it is a full priced Wii-U port, but it has all the DLC from the Wii-U included as well, Also I never owned a Wii-U it’s the Switch that actually got me back into console gaming so Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was new to me, and with the Wii-U sales being low unless you already own it on Wii-U I can’t really call it a rip off, so if it’s new to you get it it’s worth it, if you already have it and the DLC on Wii-U maybe wait for it. But as for now I can honestly say that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a must own Switch games at the current moment, tons of courses a better battle mode from the Wii-U version not that I played it there. There are easily more good things to say then bad things, but one thing that I would have liked in local vs mode is an item switch similar to super smash bros where you can control exactly which items you get. Now you can set it to all shrooms all shells, ect. But I want more control I want all Bullet Bills on Baby Park dang it! I also want to be able to switch items on the fly like in double dash, its nice having two items but I want the ability to switch between them. I didn’t really play the online mode a whole lot, but from what I played its stable and got the job done. Overall I give Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a 8.5 out of 10 If you get a switch make sure this is one of the first 5 games you get [/spoiler] I will add more reviews to the OP and the secondary post of this thread as I feel fit, but I will also answer questions or take request on which game to review next. He has his dock parked in the break room so I just leave my dock at home. It's a great little system but if you want a power house I will admit that the PS4 and Xbox one is where to go, but the ability to take it on the go and all the really good first party exculiseives make it worth it to me at least. It will be a while before I get to a Odyssey review, and a Zelda review, but I'm about a 115 hours into Xenoblade 2 I kinda want to hold off until all the DLC comes out before reviewing but it is good really good, but a lot of grinding if you want everything the game can offer.[/quote]

I don't really mind grinding in these kinds of games anyway, that's part of the fun (provided they're well made). Looking forward to the other reviews![/quote]
