Hello,

First of all as a Onetrick pony Poppy, i love this guide. its well forged and has a lot of right information, and is WAY better than my poppy jgl guide. except for one specific point i saw you said poppy is fairly weak in the early game and i totally disagree. poppy is a bruiser that even when building full tank, gets outscaled by most other full tank champions in terms of tankiness/crowd manipulation. her level 3 is one of the strongest in the game for a matter of facts. with 1 point into e and 2 into q you can hit people for over 70% of their hp and kite them back slowly. of course there are some strong matchups like trundle or udyr, but its fair to say that poppy is most definately not weak at all in the early game, this is her time to shine as a so called toplane bully. but for the rest i love the guide keep up the good work ^^

Thanks for your comment! You are right with her tankiness, she doesn´t scale as well as other tanks and her CC isn´t as reliable as Maokai´s, for example. Although I´ve added a "Full Tank Poppy" build recently, the guide itself mainly refers to the bruiser build. The main goal of this build is - despite focusing on health item-wise - to deliver surprisingly high amounts of damage for a tank, while also providing utility for her team in the form of her W shield and her fantastic kiting capabilities. However, her cooldowns early on are too high to allow for a reliable damage source. As most confrontations with the enemy at around level 3 take place either in the river when contesting for the scuttle crab or when getting invaded (both scenarios in which she isn´t full health), she almost always fights 1vs1 against champs like Xin Zhao, Warwick and Trundle - matchups she´ll lose - or against champs she could fight without instantly losing. The problem with this particular kind of duels is that it rarely ever ends with a kill. As long as you play Poppy as bruiser (and not as full damage as described in your guide) and put one point into your W, you have bad chances of getting a kill. That of course doesn´t mean that she´s fragile by any means, I simply wanted to make clear that you should avoid confrontations if your team isn´t able to support you and to secure a kill, because you´ll waste time chasing an enemy instead of farming. Sorry for not making it clear enough to which build the text is referring to, I didn´t have enough time to update the whole guide yet. Thanks for reading!

You are totally true about that, i had it a copple games ago where i wanted to contest the first **** which got smited away ( i'm an idiot and smited my gromp ) and i did raptors and went to the second crab where i found kayn and without the pressure from my pushed in toplaner and midlaner i almost died in a 1v1 against kayn who isnt the strongest early game jungler ( against champions ). i wasnt refering to the early game like that tho: i refered towards your level 6 spike where you can oneshot with 2 longswords ( which is my favorite oneshot ). but yea you are totally true

Really good guide! Clear explications and beautiful visuals. I was interested in it before, but now I really want to try jungle!

I feel like you could've said a little something about electrocute. Aftershock is great and all but the burst damage from electrocute can bring enemies down really fast. I suppose electrocute is a more early based rune to choose but still you get what im saying. other wise i love using this build :)

I really appreciate what you are saying about Electrocute, it really works wonders in combination with a few damage items. However, I felt like this rune is out of place on a supportive/teamfight-oriented build like this. I think it would fit better on a more offensive build, which is why I´m going to add an AD Poppy sub-category, right after I finish the full tank one.
