I've heard around the internet that when laneing against a Yasuo, it is often a good idea to put a second point into Q at level 3, and a second point into E at level 4, not taking W until level 8 unless your going to roam, which isn't really the Karthus way of doing things, And having tried this multiple times now, I must say it really does help. Now, all of that aside, do you think laneing against Katarina could follow a similar pattern?

Not taking W in your entire early laning seems pretty bad.

While I think putting 2 points into Q before skilling W is fine, i wouldn't forgo having the slow from W. Most of the times it's not about your 1vs1 potential but the kill pressure you have when working with your jungler. I am not talking about roaming.

If you are 100% certain that noone will ever gank your lane, you don't have to skill it. In my experience, hitting Katarina with your W after she just used her Shunpo will most of the time give you a free kill while your jungler ganks. Your W's slow also counteracts her movementspeed increase from her Preparation!

I LOVED the matchup parts in your other guides but to be honest while it is more general in this one, its still really well explained! ;-) Thumps Up i appreciate your work alot!

While i feel like the matchup part is an important addition to most guides, making it for a champion that can go top/mid and just wants to scale, feels like a lot of "meaningless" effort. Imagine being me and writing: "stay safe and win with ult" into 82 matchups :]
