Are you sure Teemo counters Jayce? The last 100 times I 1v1'ed jayce as Teemo he just literally 1 shot me with the shock blastie thing (q?), I'm not even exaggarating. He'd get to lane, stay behind minions, and whenever he wants he can shoot that thing across the lane with the range of my game screen and just blow away all my HP in one blow or 2 at most.
I didn't know you could block his W combo with Teemo's blind however, so I learned something about countering jayce from this guide, thanks for that.

Another tip i would give is to take 1x armor rune or even 2x, start with dorans shield and rush tabis or seekers armguard so you can negate his lethality items.

Could you explain what you mean by 1x armor rune? Didn't those get removed in season 8? Or is there a new one? I usually only play with offensive runes like electrocute and dark harvest so I haven't really been that busy with the tankier ones.

There are 3 options you could take against Jayce:
HoNoUrLeSs BuIlD
This is one of the best Jayce Guide, I have ever read. If you are intending to play Jayce on the Midlane, I recommend you trying this Build. It does a lot of damage in early/mid-Game. But there are some matchups missing tho (please fix that).
