On the other hand you've got champions like
It honestly depends the most on your own personal playstyle and if you know your support. Most things can work, but I recommend checking the matchup section near the top of the guide for details.
Kindred is sadly not meant purely for the ADC role by nature of her marks; in the jungle they are free to roam and contest marks across the map, whereas ADC Kindred is limited to the bottom half of the map for the entirety of laning phase.
As far as what they could change, they have honestly done a lot for Kindred simply by strengthening her play and reducing her reliance on marks. The other issue is that, in order for her to become meta she has to compete fairly against other ADCs, and the reason they work so well now is because your enemies will not be used to their damage and mobility. If Riot wanted to open her up to regular ADC play they would have to increase her range to what it is at 4 marks as her base range instead, perhaps even removing jungle marks altogether in addition to removing/reducing cooldowns on player marks, making them much more focused on bursting down each individual target during team fights in order to scale but not punishing them for lack of early-game movement.
Just my general thoughts on that, and of course it's up to riot and I don't see them making changes to Kindred anytime soon.
