I'm new to Leauge so I have no idea what has changed since you last updated your guide, but would the claw build still be effective? Or would you reccomend changing some items or runes around?

It is still effective, i tend to keep up to date with every patch. It still is viable

So you can choose spear or claw depending on your enemy right... so what one should you choose for her major counters (cho gath and malz)

I would go the spear build so that you can safely poke and deal out your damage from a safe range!

I have a question about the Claw build, what runes would be good for Support cougar like previous seasons.

Hi sorry for the late response, but if you're thinking of a support build. I would recommend starting spellthiefs, then go for Ardent after getting Frostfang. Boots i would go for would be either Swifties or Ionian boots. Then as core items i would get Rylia's, Athenes, and either redemption or iceborn gauntlet.

END BUILD: Eye Of Watchers --> Boots --> Ardent Censor --> Rylia's --> Iceborn or Redemption --> Athenes.

For runes: Aery, Manaflow band, Transcendence, Gathering storm.
then for inspiration: The boots one (i forget what its called), Cosmic insight

yeah it can, i would just edit the order, I would do Eye of the watchers --> Ardent -->Boots --> Redemption --> Rylia's (Or morellonomicon) --> athenes, iceborn guantlet or lich bane.

How would you update this build for 9.16?

Right now i would do Eye of watchers --> Redemption --> Ardent --> Boots --> Morellonmicon --> Athenes.

How about Season 10?

Probably the same thing, starting with spelltheifs. I would actually only change Morellonimicon to shurelya's reverie, and build Ardent before redemption

Is there a build for both claws and spear?

Yes there is, you would build the same items as you would for spear, but you replace rylas with lich bane. Also the runes you would take would be Dark Harvest, Sudden Impact, Eyeball Collection, Relentless hunter, with Transcendence and Gathering storm.

I think it is a great guide! :D But personally i would go for Doran's Ring as first buy!

Honestly, I never go Archangel's staff. Is it really that strong? I find getting a Morellonomicon first, then Luden's, Rabadon's, and a Void Staff make up a solid 4 99% of situations core. Last item I go depending on the game, Zhonya's is still viable, and Banshee's now gives AP now. If not a defensive item, then a Lich Ban. So I have never given a tear build much thought. Midalee is pain for solo que, as there are so many better solo carry champs out right now. A team with people that understand you are not going to be the main carry in games, and understand what Nidalee excels at, it is a lot of fun and a unique role for your team, (ranged seige and heals).

For Nidalee Archangel's is very easy to stack up, since you should be using your pounce for getting to lane and roaming. I cant tell you how many times it has saved me in close call 1v1's. The passive too (which gives you ap = to a percentage of your mana) gives a lot more ap than Zhonya's or Banshees. Id also take Archangel active over Zhonya's any day.

But... Why Spelltheif's? I haven't tried it yet, so I can't judge, I'm just confused.

Well it is great for early game gold that is very much needed especially because ur roaming often. Also, when u complete its quest, the MS from ur passive + the spelltheifs passive is insane and more helpful that u would think. Also the active from frost queens is great for chasing kills and landing spears.

Hey prideandjoy,

You have written down a lot of good stuff about nidalee and as I see you have spent a lot of time making and crafting this build but I have one question:
Is it really good to play Nidalee on mid?
I mean, in the current patch - 7.6 - there are a lot of assasins like Fizz, Zed, Yasuo that are going to win over nidalee on mid for sure because Fizz has huge advantage in melee combats, zed has a lot of mobility and he can take in very easily, yasuo has windwall and can block your spear therefore reducing greatly your chance of winning the combat

Hi, im glad you are giving me feedback. I understand where you are coming from and i know what you are saying. Nidalee mid isn't exactly what anyone should strive to pick first. Other assassins like fizz and zed are probably a better choice in the winning lane aspect. However, Nidalee mid is better in supporting teammates and dealing out more direct damage. And if Fizz and Zed are the only people winning their lane on their team, than they are the only person doing the damage. But with nidalee, she can help support her team into the late game and poke enough so that her team may catch up with her.
