So im wondering... im picking up shen as my primary top lane pick, he makes sense to me and i like his style (i can take for my team while still actually getting stuff done on my own lol).

when is it a good idea to go bruiser vs tank? what are the tradeoffs of one vs the other, and are there any situations where you reconmmend bruiser shen over tank shen? im just curious.

Hello there!
Both playstyles are definitely viable. They just got a slightly different playstyle. Tank is usually the most reliable in most situations, but bruiser might be the better choice if your team already got 1-2 tanks (let's say jungle and support). Here are some pros/cons of both playstyles:

I legit feel like you're the only author who can actually pull off multi-role guides consistently. I'm not sure if the Revival guide contest category inspired you to make this, but in any case I'm really glad to see a top quality Shen guide. Maybe I should get back into the champion again.

I always loved and I was quite surprised to see him in the revival category. I checked out on the existing guides and I felt like I could make a good addition to those. I was planning on making a new guide anyway, but I just hadn't decided yet for which champion. This is the result.

I'm really really happy a top quality guide writer like you (of which I have learned a lot when I started playing LoL) considers my work to be good. Doing the guide across 3 roles was quite a challange, but I guess it turned out well. :)

I made an exception this week since the contest winners landed on the day I usually post the guides of the week. There are a ton of great guides for people to check out this week so I figured I might as well let the contest post stand as the guides of the week for this week.

In most cases it'll be within the free rotation. In this case I picked 3 new guides from the contest that had 0 features so far.

Great guide. As a newish player and jungler I've been experimenting with Shen jungle and this post really helped with a lot of questions and itemization I had. I've been playing more assassin junglers but wanted to switch things up and this guide came in handy. Appreciate it and have a thumbs up!

It's so useful in the runes part, i really love how you make it! It's clean and very descriptive. 11/10 IGN.

By the way, I saw people with Shen with Conqueror in the part of "bruiser" too. Which one you recommend more knowing this? Conqueror or Press the Attack? ^^

For Bruiser , I think both and can work. can work, but isn't super fast at stacking it. You need to go for more extended trades in order to make full use out of it. If you want to use it, I recommend tank matchups as extended trades will be easier and 's true damage is even more useful then. Against bruisers, short trades are usually better as their early damage can hurt a lot, making the burstier better. And due to the meta being around bruisers, is usually the best choice.
But is a viable keystone on after all. If you want to try it, go for it. As long as it fits your playstyle it can work.
