the rune "coup de grace" if pronounced in the french way, the closest thing you could do to pronounce it would be telling it like "coup de grass" as grass is pronounced the same way as grace in french.

Just a little information, the attack speed runes doesn't affects Garen's new spin.

You are correct sir! Good catch. I was running around like a fool with Alacrity/Attack Speed stat. A little bit of Practice tool messing around and I am a little wiser and can comfirm that only levels and in game purchased attack speed add to the number of spins.

Can you add a matchups/synergy section? I know some of the obvious garen counters like vayne and teemo, but still. I know it is still early for new Garen but it would be helpful, thanks!

Hey Gunkypeep,

That will come in the future, we actually had one for a while but after the changes some of the matchups have changed and it will be a couple of weeks and a lot of games to determine what matchups have shifted from bad to good. But you are absolutely right, Vayne is still difficult (played against her yesterday as Garen and it is just as bad as before) but with E being such a major source of damage Teemo may be easier than before! Thank you for the comment though! Stay tuned for that section in the future! I might just start small and grow it as we learn more.

Have you tried Garen? You take Predator, cheap shot, eyeball collection, and relentless hunter. I've been using it for mid Garen which runes instead of (most of the time). I just wanna know how viable you think these runes are compared to grasp.

Great question!

I would say the only way Midlane Garen becomes viable is with the increased mobility provides to him. Although I would consider if you are wanting to take full advantage of the Predator Keystone. At that point you might be able to swap in to make your roams that much scarier.

But yeah, its definitely very viable especially into ranged matchups that Grasp wouldn't realistically be utilized.

When you are no longer a beginner in League and you know matchups, Predator Garen is fantastic. It is definitely how you can 1 combo squishy champs that have some disengage that would otherwise escape. This guide specifically was made just for the cookie cutter build for newcomers. But once they fix the bugs it is also very viable.

If you can be patient with Garen his mid>late game is unstoppable! Wait for them to slip up and take a free kill with your Ultimate :)
