Oooh, I love this! This was super straightforward and easy to read, thank you! I'm going to really have to give this guide a shot, I feel like I'm having some trouble with the current build and I've been scouting for a new one. I'm curious, a lot of other builds prioritize Dark Binding over Tormented Shadow because it takes up so much mana, what do you think about that?

Thanks for enjoying it! That's a great question though, with a very simple answer; Q max is for support Morgana exclusively. Played anywhere else she needs clear power and even at rank 1 Tormented Shadow does that much better than the best placed Dark Binding. Even in an all-in on your laner if you landed the binding Q max is a strict loss of damage, particularly when you consider the runes and the build as a whole. The only reason people even max Q as a support is to make the binding more threatening for pressure and to avoid stealing minions from their ADC.
The reason Morgana mid even works in the first place is because she clears so well and her W does execute damage. If that weren't the case it would work about as well as a Rakan or Alistar trying to play mid.

That makes perfect sense, thank you for taking the time to explain it to me! I've been playing her using this build and it's been going very well, I've even named the runes page after your guide. Thank you!

Wow, the layout of your guide looks really clean. Hope mine look this good one day, haha. I play jungle but I love having Morgana mid on my team. I play her in the jungle sometimes and I really like how well it scales. Thanks for the guide!

Why does it say "I take Transcendance instead of manaflow" for Morg jg in the description but the runes at the top say to take Absolute Focus?

That's a great question and I hadn't realized they were different! I'll definitely fix that, but that was due to the fact that I'd been evolving the guide as I played Morgana and got more experience for her.

When I first tried her jungle I had been taking Absolute Focus, but I found out that's really only helpful for those out of vision snipes which are more of a rare occurrence, whereas the CDR allows you to manage your itemization a bit easier as well as actually helps with clearing camps, even though most runes don't. Thanks for pointing that out for me, I'll be sure to fix that now!

Hello, this guide really helped me with Morgana. Thanks this guide I improved my skill playing Morgana mid, and I still learning. It's a nice guide, really, the items are good, the spells list helped me in the beginning of the game and also in late game. I hope you will create guides as good as this one is !

Thanks for reading, Riskynobi~! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

I've been on somewhat of a hiatus for new guides since moving to a new apartment with terrible internet, but I'll be moving again into a larger location by the beginning of July at the latest and should be back on track to get some more done! Until then feel free to check out my other more popular ones here:

Recently got back into League after 5 years of hiatus. Been trying to figure out a good DPS build for a bit. Glad to see the mentality of my favorite main to burn helpless people alive has stuck around. Very informative guide. Will definitely try it out.~

Welcome back, and please do! If you come up with anything you feel would help other players here, don't hesitate to mention it and I'll try and work it in as well. I should be getting some videos up in the next couple of days, so keep an eye out for those as well!

Keep slayin' 'em on the rift for me~!

Got to actually try it out, immediately noticed a great improvement both in mid lane and support lane with your recommended Runes. The damage holds up super well and gives a lot more carry potential, gives exactly what I felt was lacking when I played before reading this guide.

The defensive items really helped out when we got a super awful start in one of the recent games and even gave enough lee-way to set up counter-plays, without dragging the DPS down too much.

Been reading a bit more into rune effects which brings me to the next question: is Eyeball Collection still better than Ghost Poro and Zombie Ward? People seem to be discussing Zombie Wards and Ghost Poro are currently the faster and therefore better alternative to scaling more AP than Eyeball Collection currently is. When I read into them they all seem to end up at the same additional AP bonus. Placing 10 wards seems a lot more feasible to reach every game than killing 10 champions.

do you use the same items for Morg Jungle?
1
Glasletter (8) | November 12, 2019 10:02am
That's a great question! When taking Morgana into the jungle the build is actually very similar; swap out Luden's Tempest for the jungle version, Stalker's Blade - Runic Echoes, starting with a Hunter's Talisman. For runes you can either stick with Dark Harvest or take Electrocute instead, as you're not able to stack Dark Harvest as consistently in the jungle. I also take Transcendence instead of Manaflow Band as it takes too long to stack outside of lane.

I'll go ahead and put this directly into the guide itself, but thanks for asking for the clarification, and I hope you enjoy it!
