I try to keep it as up to date as I can so people can enjoy a bit of Aatrox now and then.
You can activate World Ender at any point during this but right before would be best to guarantee Q1 and Q2 because of the movement speed burst, and to maximize survivability and damage.
That would be the ideal trade for Aatrox. However sometimes if you are being chased its better to use your Umbral Dash with Q1 and then the rest of the combo.
Its also worth mentioning that if chasing someone down you can wait for them to run into Q1 range if they are too close, and then use Infernal Chains and Umbral Dash to close the gap, you can also weave in Flash with any part of The Darkin Blade for a unexpected burst of damage.
Hope this information helps, and good luck on the rift!
PS* I'd only recommend spectre's cowl rush on aatrox vs teemo in matches where you are just plain worse than the teemo and is having trouble, since IMO aatrox absolutly destroys this match up so the regular cdr rush would be better.
About the comment, yes Bone Plating is not very efficent VS ranged champions and as you pointed out Second Wind would be much better in those scenarios since ranged champions have more harass potential, but the rune set with Bone Plating is for matchups in which Aatrox struggles with early game. Such as Renekton, Kled, even Sett and Jax who rely on their first burst of damage to keep the trade in their favor.
I personally have not had problems with Teemo or other ranged champions on top due to Aatrox's range and ability to close the gap and I usually run the first rune set with more healing than survivability. As you pointed out Spectre's Cowl is a great item to get early VS Teemo to keeps trades in your favor even if you fall a bit behind and Spirit Visage is a core item on Aatrox due to its healing amplification so most likely you will be building it anyway.
Hope this helps, and good luck on the rift!
As for Legend: Tenacity its really your choice as I always like going for Legend: Alacrity attack speed does favor Aatrox a lot and its very beneficial in the early game, can get you those close kills where you need your last AA to proc your passive.
But overall nice job on the guide!
About champions specific scenarios, I try to get as much information about the core way to beat them in the Threats tab, while keeping it short, I could try when time allows it to dedicate a guide chapter which would give more freedom to cover most of the matchups (i.e Darius, Renekton, Sett, Mordekaiser etc.)
And the Sudden Impact vs Taste of Blood it really comes down to preference and matchup. If I know im going to get harassed back to base or going againts a ranged laner its time for Taste of Blood, but if its a melee laner I mostly go Sudden Impact, partly due to how the old Umbral Dash gave a burst of AD and synergised really well with the bonus armor penetration and still find it viable even though a bit outclassed, guess I am a bit stubborn.
I've tried going Legend: Alacrity instead of Legend: Tenacity and from my experience Legend: Alacrity will indeed help you out a lot more in the laning phase in most matchups (expect agaisnt champions like Ornn), and will get you snowballing earlier. giving up Alacrity is the main reason I take the attack speed rune to offset the malus of not having attack speed early game, and find them both really beneficial in different parts of the game, but mostly stick to Legend: Tenacity due to the nature of how hard CC shuts down Aatrox really hard and would like to keep that to a minimum. Both are great for different reason.
Best of luck in your future Aatrox endeavours! :)
As of patch 10.11 this bug has been fixed but other barrier-like abilities will most likely still prevent Aatrox's healing due to his healing being applied post-mitigation and not pre-mitigation.
