New volibear became FAR STRONGER than before, its just that you think about him with the same way as before and thats why you got problems.
The entire kit changed and I am explaining how to use it in our guide. Remember that all of our guides working as "helping tool" to understand why and how we are this powerful while watching our videos, so be sure to watch them after reading the guide to fully understand what we doing.
A quick guide about how you need to play early in lane is pretty simple, voli can literally go and kill any laner level 1 cause of his W, overall if you want to avoid "risky" trades early, wait for your level 3, get all 3 of your skills and use the following combo, start with W cause you will need the empowered attack later on to do more damage but most importantly to heal, use your E a little behind or at the edge of the target and then stun him with your Q, but doing this you will literally take zero damage cause of the shield and cause of the combination of items and skills you will overall heal back to full hp, or take close to none damage no matter how long you will fight. Volibear is one of our STRONGEST Immortal monsters and I am sure you will have great success with our style.
