Bro, I tried Shyvana top yesterday, and I went up against a PYKE. I just couldn't advance the lane because that... "support"... pulled me under the tower, and post level 6 if I got into a battle, it just ult and I was dead. You can resist well if play safe, just poke and send waves into him, but it is all. I suggest mobility and ignite if you really want beat him down.

Will try to work on it at some point, been playing less Shyvana top as of recent so haven't gotten around to doing matchups on the guide. I'm not really sure what are the worse matchups and what are good since her laning phase sort of plays out the same. You mostly just farm and poke with E and once you hit 6 you can try to all in with your decent E damage.

I haven't tried AP Shyvana in a while, since I've always preferred the AD playstyle. While the AP buffs were quite significant, I feel that the AD/Tanky build for Shyvana is a better fit in top lane. Most top lane champions will kill you imo if you go the squishier AP build, while with the AD/tanky build you have access to items like Bramble Vest and Iceborn Gauntlet that make you able to survive them.

I'd say if your team is full AD and you are certain you can live in top and actually scale to the game then AP Shyvana might be viable, but I think that AP Shyvana fits better to the jungle role than top.

Indeed! I've had a lot of fun recently playing her in top lane, even if her laning is not the best. A lot of people seem to be caught off-guard with Shyvanas damage output once you hit 6 so you can actually snowball quite easily.

Haven't tried it so far but I might give it a go at some point. I just feel the other Mythics offer Shyvana more tools that she actually needs, but I suppose if you just need to do more damage then it might be alright.
