Both are really hard to deal with early on, you kinda just have to pray that they wont get too big of a lead and then you will be able to fight them at 3+ items if you somehow are even

Hello! Very well-made guide my friend!

I used to struggle a lot against Yorick, but, thanks to this build, I now understand how to counter him a little bit better.

Also, you mention "So Hullbreaker is one of the newer items in League and it is a perfect fit for Yorick. This item incentivizes splitpushing which suit Yorick well.
It might be worth to rush this item even before your mythics" which is outdated. Please change that!

Would it be worth building some CDR into Yorick, perhaps even on his rune page? I'm getting frustrated with the Maiden dying because she waits to follow me until I'm a full screen away, and the only way to address her suicidal tendencies is to build CDR so I can call her more often.

I'm new (only Bronze 3) but I have a pretty good winrate as Yorick. It's been fun, being like 2/1 but being able to 1v1 almost anyone. That said, I'm having trouble splitting since the enemy team keeps respecting Yorick's abilities and the second they see me on the map recalls come in and I get mobbed in a 3v1. In such cases, would I be out of line to tell my team "hey I need you guys to engage so I can split push?"

Hey, you already get quite alot of cdr from most of yoricks core items (triforce,blackcleaver,grudge etc) so there is not really a need to get cdr in runes in my opinion.

If the enemy team is recalling to answer you on side 3v1 then hopefully ur team can do something on the other side of the map (getting drake or nash controll). You can always improve ur splitpush by getting better map awareness and knowing when to play aggresive in side or when you fall back since enemy should be coming.

Would recommend to watch either my stream or my youtube videos aswell for extra knowledge.. :)

Thanks for the reply. I tried out CDR in my runes and I won't be doing that again. At all levels the attack speed difference is so noticeable I couldn't last hit effectively because the cadence (for lack of a better word is so different).

Is it possible that u could watch some of my recent games when i'm playing yorick, just to help me thro my flaws?
In my oppinion i think i am dooing good, but i loose to hard early somtimes. By looking at graphs, i can see that from 5 untill 10 min i am loosing hardest and then from 10 to 15 i am back in the game, but i need to get rid of that.
So by using this guide, watching your YT videos i'v gotten better. but still. If it's possible to get ur oppinion on plays and movement ect. That would be a hugh help.

Since you mainly wanna splitpush with Yorick and not fight that much I feel like the extra health (shield) you get with overheal is way more valuble than Triumph will ever be.

You can try and play with both Coup the grace and Last stand and see bonus dmg it gives, in the grand scheme of things they are both pretty bad runes so the difference will be minimal

What is the point of going cull?

Hi man, nice guide! It's always nice to see people playing seriusly with our boi Yorick! and lately I've been experimenting a little bit with him... and ... a little curiosity ... what is your opinion about the cull as item? As starter item is quiete second-rate (in my opinion), but if you can get a early kill or lead advatage, can it be a good choice? Or just rush sheen anytimes anyways?

Hey, im actually surprised I forgot to add in the guide..
Since im mainly playing for farm early is a great item to give you a bit of extra gold, usually I build it matchups where I can get the push first waves. I start with and slowpush and crash the 3rd wave and do the "cheater recall" and then pick up the .

Sometimes I build it even if enemy pushes into me, but that usually means that im gonna have around 700-800 gold on my base (instead of 450 if i do a cheater recall) so you need to figure out if + is better than getting an early , in some matchups where you dont have any killpressure early its fine to go for cull+sword, but in other I would prioritize .
