I absolutely will be updating my support guide soon! It's been a long time coming since the start of this season for sure and apologies for not updating it sooner- theres just so many changes and I have not had the time for my support guide yet! Even just updating this guide takes a while, especially during the beginning of the season when they drastically change builds based on item changes early on. For Lux support rn, you can either go AP and follow this guide, besides of course getting the support item (Zak'Zak is the best for AP). For support, dream maker is the best if you're going super shields! Staff -> Moonstone/shielding item -> Imperial is kinda the main build but tbh you can be really flexible with this depending on the game (ardent for a lot of attack based, etc). I hope to get it updated soon for you but I hope this helps a bit!

As for Luden's, its been a really bad item since the new season. They nerfed it heavily and took away the magic pen, which is what made it the best mythic for Lux last season. I think its gotten 2-3 buffs so starting this patch, its not a bad item at all! I would highly suggest using it if you like burst Lux, especially in the support role where your items are limited based on gold so every item counts. The reason why malignance is so good is because its just a solid item stat wise and the pool is actually really cool. Since its based on damage, ive had dragon or teamfights where I've made a HUGE puddle and it really helps a lot with zoning in fights. Also your ultimate is about 19s at level 16 if you have ultimate hunter on top of this. Once I am level 16, I will use my ultimate really liberally to get carries low right before an objective and they're forced to back, try to steal objectives, etc. There have even been fights where I get to ult twice and it feels really good! Or you can get a pick and then siege mid and have your ult back up again for their defense. Her ult with elder and malignance is also really dangerous - i have only used my ult on a full health carry and killed them with elder lol. I was really hesitant about malignance in the beginning of the season but its an overall really good item for Lux.
I do think, however, Ludens will be the go-to once its a better item since Lux's primary idea is burst. I have not played this patch enough to know if we can swap it fully over to Ludens yet but its definitely getting there. You're so right though, the gun on Lux feels out of character and almost illegal lol.
Horizon has been absolutely fantastic this season and tbh the vision exposure is insane and really underrated!!
I have been going malignance -> horizon -> rabadons in most of my games and it has felt soooo good! We will see how the patches change the Lux build though, especially bc on the PBE before this season, stormsurge and shadowflame were a really dynamic duo for Lux (and burst in general) but storm has gotten some massive nerfs since then.

Just click on the champion you want and it will take you right to that profile! Hopefully that helps with better convenience and visibility :)

Hmm... i think it really depends on what YOU would prefer to have, since everyone has difference of opinions. This might be a little more than what you asked for haha but here's something that can kinda help:

Elementalist Lux (3250RP or $35USD): If you want to spend a bit more but get TEN versions of a skin, I think elementalist is the best. Each skin has it's own voice lines, animations, colors, etc and you never honestly really get tired of the skin! You get to change forms in game, which is super super cool. If you get sick of one form, just go another! I personally think this is one of the BEST skins in the whole game and a lot of people joke that this should be her base skin (her light form) because it's so clean.

Cosmic/Dark Cosmic Lux (1820RP or $20USD EACH): I know that Elementalist Lux is expensive so if you're looking for a cool animated Lux skin without super high price tag, I'd say the cosmic Lux skin line- and you can choose if you like light or dark better (or get both, although that's also expensive and I'd just go with elementalist unless you really LOVE space and these skins). It also has some cool things, like the enemies screen glows when you ult and kill them and so forth.

Space Groove Lux/Battle Academia Lux/Star Guardian Lux (1350RP or $10USD EACH): All three of these skins will have SFX/VFX changes, as well as animation changes. It really depends on what you're looking for here! Space Groove Lux has really cute chromas you can buy to make the skin feel more elemenatalist Lux-y since you can change colors and the sounds/dance for this skin is really groovy and retro. Battle Academia is based off of My Hero Academia so it's very anime-like and actually has a different run animation AND ult animation that the other two don't have. Riot had the same ult animation for Space Groove in the trailer but unfortunately took it out, so space groove has regular Lux's animation instead- so that's the cool thing about Battle Academia! Star Guardian was one of Lux's first "good" skins before all of these other ones came out and I kinda wish they did an update to it but ANYWAYS- it's based off of Sailor Moon and is VERY cute! It has a cute outfit/dance/etc and has a kawaii feel to it. I personally don't use it a lot because I don't like how loud and bright it is, but that shouldn't take away from how cute it is!

As for the other Lux skins you can buy.... they're legit just recolors (or her in different outfits) with no animations or anything new, so they're not really worth it.

Don't get me wrong, Spellthief Lux was my FAVORITE Lux skin for a long time and the splash is sick, but I prefer to spend my money on something that changes my abilities/voice lines/etc.
Steel Legion Lux used to actually be good but they updated it and it's pretty bad now.
Sorceress Lux is in the same spot as Spellthief.
Commando Lux is just terrible, don't even worry about that one.
Pajama Guardian Lux : I prefer the base skin just because of her adorable outfit and it feels more sailor moon-esque, but if you like Lux in pajamas, this one is okay!
Imperial Lux is legacy aka you can't get it anymore except for out of a box and it's not worth it either.
Lastly, Lunar Empress Lux is from the lunar event and only becomes available near Lunar new year aka you'd have to wait, but it is pretty cute!! It's in the same boat as space groove Lux, where it has some changes and then really cute chromas to choose from.

This turned from a simple question to a long post about each skin, but I think it's important to highlight each skin and what it comes with before you spend real life money, so I hope this helps! I own ALL of the Lux skins (im dedicated...) and switch between them all the time hahaha but let me know which one you decide on or if I need to clarify any skin before you buy it!
