Hello there. These guides are great, but they miss some explanations. For example about items choice. Different options could have a note where you explain when to pick this, and the "situational items" box is far too big, without some suggestions it cannot be of great help. Said this, the guide is still good. Good work.

haven't went against it yet, but i generally add the match ups after i get a decent number of them.

i wanted to know your opinion on abyssal mask since the recent buff in 11.10
it turns out the ability that triggers abyssal passive also benefits from the damage increase just like horizon focus
as a trox player myself, i figured abyssal would be great because of the base stats and low cost
it may not be the best mr item, but when you pair it with items like cleaver and thornmail, you gonna have a lot of damage amp for you and your team

ive built it about 3 times this past week into heavy magic burst teams where rushing neg cloak for the 50 mr was super beneficial and i did quite enjoy it, but thank you for reminding me i should probably add it into the guide as its functional under certain circumstances.

vs what team comps would you recommend not picking aatrox?

anything ranging from 2+ tanks with frontloaded cc, zac+cho for example, to long range poke comps, nid + velkoz + zoe, as another example.

you just need to look at the enemy comp and think 'will i be able to play the game without perma dying or perma zoned' and thats your basic go-to.

is ravenous hydra actually still good as 2nd item even after the big nerfs to it

still one of the best items for aatrox, gives the best waveclear for him, and lets him spread his damage in teamfights from the aoe, as well as heal from all of the constant procs during multi-man q's.
