I love this guide! I've been playing Skarner top for years now and this guide is probably the best one I've seen! You should try out Aftershock, it's been doing wonders for me lately, your lane opponents can't get an even trade after you stun them and it really comes in clutch especially if you're fighting more than one enemy

I'am a little shocked you didnt include radiant virtue. Do you think its a bad item or skarner?

Funnily enough today I started updating the guide to talk about radiant more and to move away from jak'sho since it's now a worse option for the ap tank.

When do you go each build? Is it based on team comp? Or can you can whatever build you like every game?

You can go whatever you like but in some specific cases when your team picks 0 frontline or 4 AD it's better to fill.

The Stuff with Transcedence being able to Reset his W & E were nice but instead of +8 CDr, the Adaptive DMG seems better.

If you don't want to take the cdr shard you can go for attack speed instead to make your csing a little easier, you won't get much benefit from that extra ad.

Love this guide! Has great builds, runes, everything. One question, what are your thoughts generally on exhaust for early game pressure and to allow the all ins from your opponent to be less impactful, or your all ins to be more impactful.

If you want more early game pressure you can take ignite, exhaust for your own safety isn't necessary as you can stop an all in with E and auto. You get bonus movement speed on top of cc making running away even easier.

i love finally seeing some skarner again, i always enjoyed playing him but this guide is the cherry on the cake

Overall an amazing guide. Could use a few changes here and there but imo it is well coded and explained. I hope you keep updating the guide every patch and i'll be excited to see what you do with it after the skarner rework! also what do you think about taking this build to the midlane?

It should work in the midlane just as fine, I personally haven't played it a whole bunch but the playstyle is pretty similar with an exception of roaming potential.

Man, this build and the whole tutorial is one of the best things I've found on this site. I especially didn't think I would find something so strong for an old and forgotten champion like Skarner. First game with this build and runes and Irelia being far ahead was soloed by me. My new favorite pick for Toplane!
