Hello! First of all I would like to tell you that you have a very complete guide for Volibear, (I am still waiting for a guide for the top lane that will surely be quite good as well), I have a question regarding the item "titanic hydra", if I'm not wrong you can always buy this item with Volibear (or rather it is always a good option) as long as there is not much percentage damage (magic and true damage) on the enemy team or you need a defensive item like sterak, thornmail, spirit visage etc right? (I always make this second item with Volibear but wanted to know if I'm correct), and you build the sterak when you have a burst composition against and you can use the life that the same item gives you and the gargoyle serves the same purpose but when you don't want to have that additional life thanks to the fact that there is a lot of percentage damage both magic and true?

Hello! I am glad you like the guide! I appreciate the kind words :) To answer your question I reworded the TL:DR section about the items. So after the Titanic nerfs in patch 11.8, Titanic Hydra damage will be based on 2% BONUS HP instead of 1% TOTAL HP. So this will become an option for compositions where you can stack health without being punished. AKA no Vayne and no Liandry's abusers such as Anivia, Zyra, Brand, Xerath, etc. Volibear tends to benefit from at least one damage legendary item second/third. Sterak's for anti-burst and survivability (3100 G). Titanic Hydra for health stacking (3300 G). Black Cleaver for anti-armor stacking (3100 G). Zhonya for AP and Armor (2600 G). Nashor's for attack speed and AP (3000 G). I tend to build Sterak's in most of my games. Each option has their own pros and cons. Deadman's is a staple for many people second or third as well. But I feel like its more necessary for Frostfire builds since Chemtank gives you all the speed you need. Some games Voli has to be the dedicated tank since top and supp went squishy damage instead of engage tank/bruisers. Never underestimate Gargoyles third or fourth item. Hope that helps! When is it a good idea to go either PTA or predator? Are there some conditions that make them better than the other in specific matchups?

PTA is generally good for 90% of games or games where the junglers want to fight you and invade you. Such as Kha'Zix or Graves. Predator tends to work really well if you play to just perma gank. But if you dont have lanes to gank then PTA/Conq tends to work better.

What is Volibears biggest problem in a game? Also do you have any solutions for the problem?

The biggest problems in game for Volibear are usually limited to match ups and compositions. He struggle against champions with heavy mobility early on and later on. He struggles heavily against some S + tier laners such Darius and Vayne. Liandry's abusers such as Anivia, Zyra and Brand are also very difficult to deal with. You cannot really stack health without being punished due to counter itemizations. The solution currently are item shields such as Sterak's and Gargoyles as well as camping the appropriately lane. His Q speeds early game are underwhelming but first back tier 2 boots can solve that problem.
