That's probably because you're using the album link instead of the image link.
For example, your link (https://imgur.com/a/7fRhgAt) is an album. If you want to find the direct link of the image within the album, you have to right click on the image and click on "Copy Image Address".
The direct link of your image is https://i.imgur.com/xBREGrT.png. Try this link and see if it works!
Also, please be aware of the optimal size of 762px by 125px.

I enter the following code and instead when previewed it either shows a blank space where the photo should be, or a small white missing image icon.

I'm using imgur and have tried making the post public, hidden, etc and for whatever reason it will not work, any help is much appreciated!
