Hey man how you feel about Doran's Shield Start, I feel like it helps me shrug off a ton of harass, (since im not the best at dodging skill shots). but is the lack of LS and 10 AD going to be a huge detriment to my early game in higher elo?

The extra ad from dblade is very valuable plus the life return especially when your perma getting shoved and getting free autos on minions. I dont think its worth going dshield at all because dblade is the only form of lifesteal you get until you get your final item BT or bork. To ultimately answer your question, not worth in my opinion stick to dblade and manage the harass you take better. PS know when to give up minions and just soak exp ( ex. caitlyn has headshot prepped and theres a caster low health just forfeit the minion get the exp.)
