Yes it's very important. You get a lot of gold back that you need to scale quicker in the game.

Youmuu or Bloodthirster? I would go for BT as I forgot to activate the Y item for movement speed... is this viable? better? worse?

it’s definitely not a great item to rush on cait (especially if you’re going the build i go). i think you’d be better off training yourself to remember to use youmuu’s instead of rushing BT. you’re relying much more on her Q and headshots for damage with my build so you wont get much use out of BT’s lifesteal early, and BT is much better as a last item to buy anyways. but honestly if you have fun rushing BT first on cait don’t let me stop you lol

What if I leave BT last and just follow the build order? That would mean rusing Collector first, which sounds more yummy to me haha

its definitely a viable build, but I just enjoy going for youmuu because i can delay boots and get more damage early

Hi! Amazing guide! I really like the Youmuu's build. Btw, how do handle mana with Caitlyn early on? I always end up with low mana very quickly and can't really farm properly.

hey, so I changed my mind on the boots after this most recent patch. i think CDR boots(buy the CDR boots upgrade 5th or last even) are the best boots for her with the lethality build after playing with it.

For the mana, it's definitely difficult and comes with time and practice, but you should really try to only use abilities when you NEED to. Much less for poke unless you can get away with it. For the boots I just really like the quick recalls and speed you get from the passive..

Something I keep asking myself is this: what do I do against hp stacking champions while playing as normally critical chance based champs like Cait? Tbh, I don't even know how letality works now, since it's been a time since it was almost only used by assassins.

Well, for HP stacking champs I tend to find the build with LT is good, but its really just a game to game basis. Like if its your job to kill that HP stacking champ and not anyone else, then I suggest doing that. It's also important though to remember with the First Strike build your job is mostly to quickly kill the squishier champs. So just know your job.

I keep feeling like I need one thousand items to kill like a fed xin, ya know? It's so insane

Is LT the rune, lethal tempo? So yeah, in my low elo hell, there is always some not so squish bruiser/assassin ready to kill me, and chances are that my team won't peel for me or, like I will have a very small window where my teammates will peel a bit, so I have to at least dish some good damage (put down the enemies' shields at least) so my teammates can finish them off - especially bc I may be dead at this point.

Yeah, LT = Lethal Tempo. The thing about Caitlyn is that she is actually relatively good at peeling for herself. Try to set up traps pre-fight around entrances & around places you might use as an escape route. Save E for safety if teams aren't peeling for you as well.
