I started playing about a month ago, mainly as a jungler, since that’s what I used to play before during my earlier attempts, and I’ve grown to like it — it really fits me.
I’ve tried playing Viego before, but I couldn’t quite get the hang of him, and at that time I didn’t really understand the game’s mechanics.
Now that I know more, I really want to start learning Viego — no matter the cost — and I want to become an OTP with him.
My question is this: it’s not entirely clear from the guide — what’s the full build you usually go for? What are the core items, and what can be swapped out depending on the situation?
The explanations are a bit long, and there are so many options that as a beginner I’m not even sure what to do.
I’d suggest maybe adding a basic build setup, plus a shorter description for each item — for example: “this item: good against tanks,” or “this item: if there’s a lot of CC,” etc.
Thank you! I hope you can help me get closer to reach my own Isolde.
Now, allow me to clear your mindset about builds in general. The thing is, in League of Legends, I usually recommend players that you shouldn't invest so much to learn build patterns, especially compared to other MOBAs where you have to. In League, if you check, most champions have a single build that they rush every game, with some champions having different options like for Viego: Crit / Bruiser. Itemization in League is actually quite simple.
My detailed information on different builds is not meant to distract players or make them wonder what to build, but only to showcase possible item choices. For example, just by playing and learning the game, you will naturally understand that Maw of Malmortius is an anti-burst magic resist bruiser item for when you need to survive heavy AP damage.
So it basically depends on how long you have been playing League. Of course, if you are quite a new player, you might wonder what build to use.
