Why do you take eclipse over axiom despite axiom having a 52% winrate vs 49 on eclipse

Here is my personal take on it. Axiom Arc is superior if you get a really big lead early and can buy the item fast. In games where you have a big lead, you are also more likely to win, which is why it has the higher win rate. However, in a game where you are not particularly fed, I think Eclipse is more consistent because it synergizes better with the other items and makes trading a lot more one sided. Of course, if you are fed, you can just one shot them with Axiom Arc.

hi! hope you doing great! i have a question.. how do you play teamfights? first of all im feeling like my champ does no damage on late game and lose against a lot of tanky bruisers. not talkin about this build particularly but the one that uses axiom arc. feel like the champion isnt either a bruiser nor an assassin. definitely its a skill issue. but id like to know how do ytou play team fights with assassin items. I used to play it where the was the divine items. idk why i left the champion since it felt pretty strong at that moment.

Hey! I'm doing great, thank you :D

Normally, if you go Axiom Arc, you build bruiser items afterward such as Death's Dance, Endless Hunger, Maw of Malmortius, or Sundered Sky. That means you should still be relatively tanky if you're not too far behind. In fact, my build only adds a small Eclipse shield, so it's not really build related.

To be honest, it's hard for me to really answer your question since I don't know how you approach teamfighting or what mistakes you make. However, the most common mistake I see from newer Riven players is going in first against a fully grouped team without any follow up.

You're a bruiser, not a tank, so if you go in first against a grouped team and everyone focuses you, you will die pretty fast. It's important that you only go in if you can reach their backline and if you have enough follow up and damage to actually kill them, unless their ADC wanders off alone, for example.

That's why it's important to play around your Flash timers because without Flash, it's very hard for you to reach their backline unless you have something like a Zac engage.

Again, I can't know for sure since I've never seen you teamfight, but my best advice is to take fights more slowly. Don't go in head first. Wait for them to use important spells, especially CC, and once their backline has used their spells and oversteps, then you can clean them up.

If you want me to help you more specifically, tune into my stream when I'm live and send me a clip of a teamfight. I'll look at it and break it down for you. If you're on EUW, you can also send me your IGN and I can watch replays from your match history.

Black cleaver is not viable for patch 26?

Black Cleaver is viable if you want to duel armor stackers, as it really shines in extended fights. I don’t really buy it, as I usually just avoid armor stackers and play to kill their backline. But it’s definitely still viable.
