Hello man, really love the guide as always :)
I have a question but before that something I want to point out:
I think the stormrazor build path is quite nice with stormrazor giving you every stat u need in one item and not delaying the whole build by an item to get that initial movement speed up, or delaying the movement speed up item.

But I do think that in games where you need a lot of passive movement speed or speed that you need to trigger exactly when you need it (mostly for games where you need to run from assassins or dodge skillshots) then the second build path should still be considered

And as for the question, I wonder what item paths did you try before reaching these two and what made you think they weren't as good as these two?

Hey man, glad you like the guide, it means a lot!

Regarding your point, it's very relevant. In fact, we could think that the active MS boost from Youmuu's is so precious that it could turn out to be the best option in some games, notably against a Maokai, a Twitch, this kind of things that can require big active MS boosts.
Here is my take on it:
In reality, I'd say that the Youmuu's effect is very similar to Stormrazor. Stormrazor gives a big short burst of move speed, which is even more effective than Youmuu's to escape. The only problem is that it requires to land an AA, however it has no cooldown. All this to say, both MS effects are equal, but not the items, nor the components. Look:
BF Sword is the best item on first recall for the lane, the damage is insane for Jhin.
Plus, the Stormrazor into IE build path is way more explosive than Youmuu's into Collector. Because Collector is not an excellent item, and Youmuu's doesn't give crit, it takes a long time before activating Jhin's kiting gameplay on crits. Where Stormrazor + IE gives you as much damage, if not more, with 50% crit and a lot of move speed.

In short, I still recommend to go for Stormrazor as soon as possible.

Regarding your question about the builds I tested before reaching these conclusions, there are 3:

Hubris + Collector + IE:
Very solid, I do it sometimes (very very very rarely), but nevertheless I recommend it to low elo players. I need to dig into it a bit but I think I will add this build soon as a third build for my guide specifically for low elo.
Why Hubris is less good than Youmuu's:
Youmuu's gives move speed which is very precious, the Hubris passive is not excellent in games that are not a bloodbath, and Hubris especially has a huge loss of value with the ability haste it confers, Youmuu's is better.
Why Hubris is maybe better at low elo:
At low elo, games are disorganized: a lot of kills, kills all the time, not only on teamfights, and longer games. Which is a dream environment for the Hubris passive. Plus, move speed can be less relevant in low elo because it is less well used.

2nd build, the build with Hextech Alternator:
I discarded it very quickly because I find it's a bad item for Jhin.

3rd build (vanilla):
Collector + IE
I can't say this build is bad, it is very logical and offers a good spike at 2 items, but according to my research it is not the best, Collector is heavily overrated to my liking (especially the passive, because its stats are good).

Voila :)

Hello i was wondering why inspiration 2nd
Sorcerny seems far more useful with giving you extra ms and ad. And in which scenario do you go dark harvest like vs smolder / with panth, blitz? (I have read note)
1
Antiwis (5) | May 27, 2026 10:46am
Hi there! True, the Sorcery tree as secondary runes is good, and it has almost always been the best option on Jhin for the move speed and AD. But the new Cash Back rune is completely broken; it offers over 1,000 gold in a long game, and easily 500 gold in every single game. In short, for a minor rune it's insane, which is why we go for this secondary rune tree. And by the way, since you have to select a second rune, we take Triple Tonic, which might not look like much but is actually pretty good:
Use the first potion to farm (use it early because when it expires it gives 60 gold)
Use the second potion to fight, you should hold onto this one and consume it as soon as a fight breaks out
And the third potion to use right away, obviously

Anyway, compared to Cash Back, the 2% move speed and 12 AD clearly can't compete, and as a bonus we get Triple Tonic which is nice

As for Dark Harvest, I don't recommend playing it right now

Hi there! can you explain why you dont use collector in your build?
1
Antiwis (5) | May 21, 2026 10:59am
Hi! I updated the guide regarding this. The recent changes have created more build variety on Jhin, and I adjusted the guide accordingly. And Collector is great, it's in one of the two builds I recommend!

Hello i have a few question what do you think about hubris and rfc item and new burn rune for jhin?
1
Antiwis (5) | May 21, 2026 10:59am
Hi, so regarding the new burn rune, I don't recommend it for Jhin. It was played a bit at a very high level when it was broken, but now it's already obsolete and unplayable, especially in low elo.

As for Hubris, it's also a matter of elo. Personally, I don't play it because I think Youmuu is better; the vast majority of high and very high elo players don't play Hubris and prefer Youmuu. But! Hubris can actually be stronger in low elo, since games are much more aggressive and there are way more kills per minute, which is a good environment to make the most of Hubris' passive. So feel free to do whatever you want. You can replace Youmuu with Hubris in build path 2 of my guide.

And for RFC, it's obviously always been a must-have for Jhin. I still recommend not building it too early; most players systematically build it before Dominik, but in reality, it really depends on the game. I invite you to read the note on build paths 1 and 2 of my guide!

What made you switch to buying stormrazor for first item?
1
Antiwis (5) | May 4, 2026 12:40pm
Well, that is a broad question that I haven't quite settled on yet. With the new Season 26, there are many more possibilities for Jhin's build than before, which had remained almost the same for years. Currently, the build I included in the guide is the one that has personally convinced me the most. According to my research, it shows the best statistics and is also very common in high Elo.

However, it has a weakness during the lane phase because the Stormrazor components are weak. I will continue to look into the matter and the guide will be updated regularly.

I have a question. I'm a jhin main since a few years so i've seen like everything. Buz serious Question. About boots. Swifties are basic, also in ur guide. But under notes u talked about always buy Lucidity Boots. And late berserkers. But... Lucidity Boots are as i know the cooldown boots. So.. should i get CD boots or swifties?
1
Antiwis (5) | April 27, 2026 3:32am
Hi! That was a mistake on my part, you definitely shouldn't take CD boots on Jhin! The error has been fixed, we do take swiftness boots.
2
YayJohn (1) | March 13, 2026 6:08am
considering in the options he only put swifties and berserkers, and as you know the meta is to always take the swifties then he probably just confused between the two, and meant to always take swifties.

I for one thought you were gonna ask about why always to switch to berserkers late game, since yeah late game the attack speed increase is gonna be nice as you already have 100% crit so all your aa grant you movement speed, but what if the enemy team have a lot of assasins or mages? so I usually don't have too many opportunities to aa? and also the zerks don't have the slow decrease, so they are worse against CC.
and for those reasons I usually stick with my swifties late game too, but I wonder what the author thinks about this
1
Antiwis (5) | April 27, 2026 3:46am
Regarding the late game swap for Berserker's Greaves, here is the deal:
Advantages of Berserker's in late game:
- More AD
- More movement speed in combat
Disadvantages:
- Loss of protection against slows

In my experience, this trade is worth it, given how games are played at 40+ min. It is not necessarily optimal in 100% of games, but it is often very interesting.

hello im struggling on being consistant while playing jhin i dont what is the reason. can you give me some tips how to be consistant (my early is i would say good but i fall after 1+ item)
1
Antiwis (5) | April 27, 2026 3:21am
It is indeed hard to say with only this information, but if you want some advice:

In general, one of the two bot lane T1 towers falls a few minutes after your first item, which corresponds to the timing you mentioned. Once a T1 has fallen bot (ally or enemy), you should go mid and swap with your midlaner. From that point on, you will farm mid, while your top and mid laners figure it out and split the top and bot lanes as solo laners.

When you farm mid, stay safe, do not overextend without vision, and normally you shouldn't die too much.

Btw: it is common in low elo for midlaners to be unaware of this and refuse to swap; in that case, you can try to force it or do a bit of teaching...

YayJohn (1) | March 13, 2026 6:09am
Hard to say with only the information you've given, but if you win early game and lose mid/late game then it's probably because your macro isn't up to par, I personally watched Coach Rogue and he helped me a lot with that.
from there it's just developing critical thinking and getting in the experience

Hello Jhin main, will you make a Jhin Skins tier list? I want to hear the opinion of someone who knows which skins are good and which are bad.
3
Antiwis (5) | December 3, 2025 7:02am
Haha it’s funny you suggested this, I would’ve never thought of it myself, but I’m pretty qualified since I own every Jhin skin. So let’s go:

1. Dark Cosmic Jhin
Absolutely gorgeous and iconic. By far the skin I’ve played the most. It’s just on another level.

2. High Noon Jhin
Amazing sound design, and honestly one of the most legendary and emblematic skins for the champion.

3. Soul Fight Jhin
The whole skin line looks incredible, and Jhin’s version is no exception.

4. Project Jhin
A classic. You really feel like a hyper-dangerous cyborg. With all the effects, it even feels like your crits hit harder.

5. SKT T1 Jhin
Super clean. It gives off a divine vibe, and it actually aged really well.

6. Empyrean Jhin
Really pretty, but in this style I prefer Soul Fighter. The sound design can feel a bit uncomfortable though.

7. Mythmaker Jhin
It’s well-made, and being a legendary skin is definitely a plus. But at that price, you’re better off buying one of Jhin’s top-tier skins higher on the list.

8. DWG Jhin
Honestly not terrible. I play it sometimes, but not very often. I’m pretty indifferent to it.

9. Blood Moon Jhin
I don’t know why, but I never really enjoy playing it, even though it is a nice-looking skin.

10. Shan Hai Scrolls Jhin
Really not a fan. I only play it to match with Nautilus players who use Shan Hai Scrolls. Feels like a weaker version of Mythmaker visually.

And for the €200 special skin Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin:
It’s objectively very beautiful, maybe even slightly better than the original, but I’m way too attached to Dark Cosmic. It’s just too iconic.

That’s just my opinion :)

Hello Jhin main, I appreciate the fact that you respond to every comment on your guide. Never seen someone do that, so thank you for sharing your opinion on skins. I wrote you that comment so I can have an Idea of what skin to purchase for Jhin once I reach Level 10 Mastery. It's because of you that I reached Level 6 for now. As always, thank you for making this guide and the detailed skin tier list.

So there is suppose to be a 7th item slot for adc for boots if it will happend what will be the additional item?
2
Antiwis (5) | December 3, 2025 7:09am
I saw that, but there will be too many changes next season to make accurate predictions right now. But rest assured, the guide will be kept up to date when the season changes, and it will be adjusted and refined throughout the start of the season to be as accurate as possible.

Hello Jhin main, thank you for making this guide the first guide I can see. I wanted to play Jhin because my friends took all my lanes, leaving me with ADC or support. I heard from many that playing ADC will make you mental, and that the role itself is the worst role that you can pick, especially when you were a Dr Mundo main tanking everything to then becoming a twig that's going to break any picosecond. What is your advice on what mindset I should adopt while playing ADC?
3
Antiwis (5) | November 28, 2025 8:55am
Hello! The biggest change when switching from a tank player to an ADC player is decision-making, which becomes completely different. These are two opposite extremes. When you play ADC, you should not take initiatives, create plays or look for catches. You must absolutely follow your team’s flow and work with what they give you. That is the ADC mindset. Your team’s goal is to give you resources and the enemy team’s goal is to kill you. Farm, never act alone, you must always be with your teammates and split pushing is strictly forbidden. In short, the mindset is princess.

Rahat112 | November 28, 2025 10:39am
Hello Jhin main, thank you for answering. I've had a few matches where I was fed and felt like a beast. Trying not to split push is an old habit, but I will try not to. Thank you for answering as always.

If i go Youmuus first (which a lot of high elo players do), what should my buildpath look like? should i just replace youmuus and collector and stay at 75% cr full build or should i go for immortal shieldbow last?
1
Antiwis (5) | November 26, 2025 2:42am
If you start Youmuu’s, staying at 75% crit is totally fine. No need to force 100%. Full build is very rare anyway, and by the time you get there the game is usually already decided.
2
FourJM | October 13, 2025 6:09am
im new to jhin,do you have any tips on how to actually carry/mvp in most games? i never really have the most dmg or stuff like that, which other adcs often do.
2
Antiwis (5) | October 15, 2025 1:02am
If you want to climb the ladder, don’t aim to be the “carry MVP”, especially as an ADC, and even less with Jhin.
The ADC’s role is mainly to serve the team: you provide consistent damage in teamfights and on objectives, but you rarely make macro decisions. You have to play around what your team gives you.
Jhin is even more utility-focused: he deals less damage than most ADCs, so it’s perfectly normal to have lower damage numbers than the enemy ADC, your AP mid, or even your top laner.
Don’t try to end every game 17/0/9, that’s impossible.
Your goal should be to stay consistent and reliable. If you truly are, it means that in 100% of your games, your team always has a solid and mechanically sound ADC, which will naturally make you climb in elo over time, since the enemy ADC can’t be that consistent in 100% of games.
