FYI, Ad is very needed on akali. when she has high ap, she gets lots of bonus dmg (a % of what she has) if it is low, then the % doesn't add much.

It's completely useless for your burst, there is no way you're going to keep it stacked, and it doesn't synergize with your skills at all, unlike a lich bane, or even an early gunblade.

If you couldn't tell, you SHOULDN'T be using E in combat, it's a farming tool.

Q and W are all you should be spending energy on, if you have to use E, you did it wrong.

If you don't have your passive active at level 2'ish you are going to suffer heavily in the laning phase, and runes can help you get it easily. (Flat AP quints, 7ad marks, 5 flat ap glyphs, hp/lvl seals, 2 mpen reds, 4 flat mr glyphs.) and then you can start boots+3hp.

AD is useless on akali because you don't use E in combat.

Gunblade is used because of it's massive 37% spell vamp, along with the 75 ap.

Stacking AD/AP together like you have isn't bad, but something like IE in this build is an absolute waste. you invest 4k on a Killer-CRIT item and have 20% crit chance. . . you really need better burst items for akali to work well, because she has so much lower sustainability.

Not a terrible guide, but I question your AD stacking. Yes the Spell Vamp is nice, but with only 280 AP, you're not doing that much damage to get your health back. I tried this build in a game and only went 12/4/8 compared to my normal of 20/2/14 (I've taken the averages of my games). Also, why do you take the Quintessences of Desolation? You already get 3 Armor Pen from your Masteries, do you really need the 10 more an an AP / AD hero that doesn't auto-attack very much? It would be much better to get Quintessences of Potency for the AP or even Quintessences of Strength since you're focusing on the AD aspect of Akali here.

Higher AP character than AD, your build fails 9/10 matches.

this a killer build

When I saw this build I didn't think it would be effective so i tried others and didn't like them. So i came back to this one and decided to give it a try. I have to say i though Akali didn't need AD, but she it does solve a problem i had with other build. when she runs out of energy she is vulnerable for a few seconds and that's where the AD took it's part. After reading the guild I went flawless my first match and won many more. It truly is a build you have to try.

the build looks ****. Strange for Akali I must say but I'll go give it a try cause im a fair person, unlike some people on here.

I tried it. Loved it Flawless my first game with 22 kills and 17 assists. my second game I made the mistake of getting arrogant and died twice in the beginning, but still scored 20+ kills and a good chunk of assists. This build is rather reliable Its a shame folks don't want to give it a chance.
