This build is pretty much safe if they're duo or solo laning, things change depending on certain situations of course. Interesting choice for Trinity force though... I just find it very difficult to find room to fit the items to build up, and/or save enough gold to buy it late game. Rylai's & Phantom Dancer usually do exceptionally well late game from what I've experienced. But nice job on the build though. +1

Your time is better spend by taunting/initiating. Popping into a fight with a perfect taunt and popping your Randuin's active is much more efficient than attacking someone with your weak-*** trinity force.

might as well just get an abyssal scepter, that would at least give you MR and boost all your abilities (if only by a tiny bit) and provide you with a nice team aura.

Sigh for people not reading... I said that you finish Randuins whenever you can spare getting the MR, and that is why I put it very last. Trinity Force isn't very random, it isn't popular, but it isn't random, it goes along perfectly with Shen, it gives him a small amount of a lot of useful stats along with a good unique that makes him able to chase off carries.

I see and you are right thats a long way in a game. If you get there it must be a heck of a game

Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated. I don't really expect games to go long enough to get Trinity Force, but if you have the money, it is much better than Rylai's is, so basically, more of an end-game choice.

Ive Never seen a shen with a Trinity Force But Other than that looks good :) +1 P.S i will be trying this build out in future games from now on.
