I never said it was better. I just mentioned it as the easiest way to get to 40% without going over and no wasted points. But then again I often don't think of DFG since I played Vlad for so long.

Ionian boots + Evil tome suggests an AP caster... so unless you are playing support you are doing it wrong :P Sorc Shooes > Ionian on any AP caster...
