IE 9 is, in my opinion, the 3rd best browser. The old IE was ****, but microsoft completely changed it.
The main reason why I don't use chrome is because I don't like what google is doing with it. The default installation folder is a big turn-off for me, it goes against common principles and just does not inspire any trustworthiness.
Well... i am not using IE... since even after the rework it is still ****py. Slow, and glitching.
Also you might be interested in http://www.crashie.com/ site :)
Also eventho it is the newest browser from MS... it still does not meet Acid3 tests fully... Which is kinda lolz :)
I don't have any add-ons in IE 9 so I can't say for sure it would still crash if it was my main browser.
And practically, what does acid3 test really tells you? That a browser can fail on a feature that no one uses any more or are just not that important, namely the SVG fonts which is where most browsers fail. The developers know their browser limitations and also realize some of those limitations do not matter at all. Are you really that much into SVG fonts that IE becomes "lolz"? Do you know what SVG fonts are? Do you even know anyone that wants that feature?
You guys pay too much attention to useless tests.
Still, since you think that a webpage created with the only purpose of crashing IE or than not loading SVG fonts is a big deal on IE and FF, what about this?
Some time ago if you put ":%" on your chrome's navigation bar it would crash 100% of the time.
Chrome crashed due to outdated video drivers, and several people need to have their video drivers outdated.
There were also a lot of applications that would easily crash chrome. nvidea desktop was one of those.
And my favourite even though it has nothing to do with crashing:
Chrome installs into C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google and it is impossible to change it. Awesome for allowing little kids to install a browser and surf the internet without their parents consent or knowledge. Awesome for allowing people to install a new browser at work without admin permission from the IT department. Awesome for allowing possible security breaches. Awesome for wasting space and requiring a different installation for each user (150mb for each).
Actually, that's not my favourite. This is:
When google chrome came out everything you posted or created online using their browser belong to google, not you. Made a post? It belongs to them, no big deal. Make a website? It belongs to them, oh ****! Did that website generate you thousands of dollars? Too bad, it's all theirs now.
At the time (if I'm not mistaken) the president of germany even made a public announcement telling his people not to use chrome.
And you thought google was free.. HAHAHA

It's really buggy when you have a lot of tabs. It also doesn't load tabs right away. This is on FF4.
Weird, I don't have any problems with it.
Have you tried the tab groups feature? It might solve your problem.
