Nice in theory, tried it out and got horribly owned.

I'm totally agree with Friedrice, you don't really need Clarity at all.
And Morello's Evil Tome, is a early item. Cause of it's good mana reg. And cooldown reduction.

And I would either go for Frozen Hearth, it gives you cooldown reduction, mana and 99 armor, including it's helpfully passive.

Thank you for your comments, but I have to disagree with you.

1) I agree his burns through mana fast, but I do have to say Clarity helps a LOT at early levels, thanks to clarity and not missing my pillar of flames, I actually don't have to go back to town 'till I'm level 9 or so. That's why I choose clarity over Ignite any day.

2) I did forget to mention it's not the exact item order. I either get Morello's second or third, depending on the game. (So either before rabbadon's or after).
3) I really like the thornmail for it's 100 armor, you might think the damage reversal doesn't help much but I actually found it to help quite a lot.

Anowrath, thank you for your comment too. I know one of them actually tried the build before so I can't say it's troll voting, the others have seen me use it, yet never tried it myself.

I really agree on him being squishy, as he gets taken down quite fast, yet I find that FoN or Thornmail helps, I might have to check out Guardian Angel, but I usually find that even with that item, the stat's don't do much for me and the passive is just a delayed death. I'll look into Rylai's today, though. Thanks for that suggestion.


Also, on the blue buff: It does help a LOT, I can't say I usually ask to get it but so far I have not been dependent on it that much. For the soul stealer I'd gladly refer you to my FAQ section. :]

Edit:: I added Soul Shroud to my defensive items. I found the MP regen and health to most likely help with being that squishy.

It's a decent guide but a couple of notes

1) Brand does go though mana fast, but Clarity isn't going to help you much. The CD is too long at beginning of the game, and it doesn't give you enough mana at end game. I would take ignite or teleport over it.

2) Morello's Evil Tome as your last item? It's mana regen isn't high enough to help with much, and you'll get a much bigger boost from a Void Staff. Personally I would go Rylai's for the added HP, plus slow will help you either kill off would be escapees, or slow people down if you need to run away.

3) You have thornmail as a suggested item? If you do find your getting targeted, Frozen Flame is a much better option over Morello's again for the Mana, CD, and armor. Plus, that mana gets you more AP thanks to the Archangel's staff.

In the end, I find brand is very dependent on the mana golem buff early to mid game. If you have it, you'll own your lanes, rack up kills like nothing, and win the game for your team. Without it, your just another good caster. On that note, where's the soul stealer?

No offence to the first 3 comments, but that's called troll-voting. Try the guide first, then vote and comment.
The guide is very nice and the items are good, however I would appreciate some more AP and HP. Brand is pretty squishy, so I would like to see something about Rylai's for example.
Also, I wouldn't ever buy Force of Nature OR Thornmail since this champ doesn't have enough HP to support such items and benefit from them. If you could though give an explanation about Banshee's Crystal and maybe consider Guardian Angel an option instead of the previous two.
