AP Quints
Also, not enough CDR to justify being that squishy.
can't believe you voted -1 for him because he used AP quints... try builds before voting maybe? You see morde has a shield... and it makes him tankyish and a few quints won't hurt him <3.
Saying Rylai's is pointless on Mord tells me you have no idea what you're talking about.
It is perhaps the single most powerful purchase available to mord. That long of a slow when your ult is ridiculously powerful.
And sunfire cloak with a decent amount of spell pen is also very strong.
A good off tank with have a good balance better armor, mr, AND HP. Missing a boost to any one part of these leaves you vulnerable.
There are a lot of true damage mechanics out there, no hp on your build and you are crying for a Cho'gath ult or Vayne focus.
The gunblade is also very strong with Mord. I do think that adjusting the build to a Liche Bane, however, is an improvement.
Also, not enough CDR to justify being that squishy.
Exhaust is bad, because it's too easy to shut down AD Carries with Morde, and Ghost is more useful against the mages.
Rylai's and Sunfire Cape on a champion without any kind of synergy with health? Pointless. (if you want speed, grab a FoN or a Lichbane, not a Rylai's, it's only a 15% slow, and 3000g for 80ap and 500hp is a terrible buy for morde, he doesn't need hp, and 80ap for 3000g is just stupid)
Also, all of Mordekaiser's attacks are AoE's.
You won't get as much benefit from the Gunblade as you think.
Also, you have 9% CDR, if you ever need to give blue to someone else, you will be missing that CDR a lot, even if you did everything else right, a build without 35%+ CDR is silly.
CDR, Armor, and Magic Resistance, those are the stats you want on Mordekaiser, not health, AP, and spell vamp.
Have to -1.
Offensive masteries are JUST as useful as defensive ones (if not more so).
With the recent vetran's scars nerf, the mastery just isn't very good any more.
Ardor is good but not amazing, especially early on when you have little ap. 4% of little is nothing.
Tenacity is a good ability and it is about the only thing in the defensive tree I don't have and miss.
On the other hand... offensive masteries help me farm, they improve my ability to duck into the jungle and grab golems or wraths and then get back into the lane without missing anything. That's a REAL advantage.
5% extra damage provides 5% more shielding/spell vamp. It's both offensive and defensive.
To say that brute force is a waste when it modifies the mace of spades and auto attack damage is simply untrue.
And under the new crit system, deadliness is good on any champion.
Farming more effectively with offensive masteries can easily give you more gear to mitigate 4% additional damage. Let's not get tunnel vision for whats on paper and realize there are unseen game-play advantages to consider.
The item build and runes aren't bad, but I have to disagree with the masteries. You can be tanky ap morde and still go 21 defense (which you probably should). 21 offense brings so little to the table in comparison.
Trufax, offensive tree is a waste on all champions.
