So i was perusing the items on LoL and i see that Trinity Force is the most expensive item followed by Infinity Edge. I just want other people's opinion on whether its worth it to get them?

Very much so depending on what champ you are playing.
Ashe for example rushes IE very soon as it turns her into a killing machine, with other items of course.

dont forgot trinity is just an upgrade of sheen , sheen alone is good enought and cost only 1260

Well for champions it is worth it. If you go Trinity-tank it is great. For AD Poppy Trinity Force is also a must have imo.
Infity Edge is great for champions as Ashe, GP, Trynda etc.
