So I apologize for the confusion on the item build. I thought it was cleared up in the guide but I guess I better be a little more specific. There are more then 6 items because the additional armor and magic resist items are what I generally go for and would recommend depending on the make up of the enemy team. So this is the way I build Garen:

Boots
Warmog's
Atma's Impaler
Defensive Item 1
Warmog's
Defensive Item 2

The two Warmog's gives you a ton of hp and hp regen and AD from Atma's. For defensive items, it all depends on the enemy team. If they are all AD I would get Thornmail and a Sunfire Cloak (if you want a substitute for the Sunfire Cloak you can get Randuin's Omen, It's a great armor tanking item but it is more expensive then the Sunfire Cloak). If the enemy team is all AP then I would get Banshee's Veil and Guardian Angel. For a balanced team I recommend getting Aegis of the Legion as your first defensive item and then something to counteract their highest damage dealers, usually being either AP or AD. If you would rather just get another balanced item, Aegis of the Legion and Guardian Angel work well together against a well balanced team.

I hope this clears up any confusion you had about the build, and thank you for your comments.

One comment about the lack of force of nature (which you mentioned) is it DEOS give +8% moevment and added to garens decisive strike, makes it difficult for most enemy champions to get away.

I'd also ask you to reconsider sunfire cape, since i find that the 35 damage per second is quickly reduced to little or nothing in late game by magic resist of enemy heros, or by the fact that they have quite a lot of hp for sunfire to make much of a difference (though it CAN make a difference) Any otehr recomendations to replace it with?


I find that your build is smart in grabbing atma's inmpaler, it gives armor (TANKINESS!( and crit (garen adds crit chance to his abilities, rather than AP) and damage (+80 for the passive 2% of your max hp at 4000) so it really is a must have for most tank builds.

You might want to make a note that atma's impaler doesn't factor into the quick cheat sheet at the top, if you added it it would be about (without the kill stat gains on the warmogs) 203 damage per hit, you might want to make a note of this in there.

also, you've got more than 6 finished items on there, why would you get rid of boots and one of your warmogs to build another warmogs later? you might want to mention what the FINISHED items are for the recommended items on this build.

For the summoner spells, I find that flash works remarkably well as a replacement for exhaust, as if your low on hp or haven o one left to support in your lane and are about to get ganked, flashing over a wall is really nice.

Overall, a really good build, it jsut needs to have somethings clarified, +1
