Ok, I tried it. I kind of like the extra regen.

The 2nd Build is nice thankyou for creating it but imo ranking up Roar is better and helps u benefit the team a lot better. In my experience ranking up Q & W really isnt necessary levelling up the roar utilizes your spirit visage and helps you keep with your team and heal them for a good amount late game. In addition the CD reduction your already stacking makes the heal on a very short cd which in my opinion is far more useful than generating more damage on your other abilities which are all utility based if your tanking. Sadly i found very few decent tank builds for Alistar.

Fair points. Maybe it depends. I'd have to try it. I like having Q and W on shorter cooldowns, but being able to take that much more laning damage is another option. Maybe if you're good at disengaging and managing QW cooldowns, you can harass more early on overall. I tend to not quite get Q and W back early enough at level 1, though.

There are some games where I get fed and it feels like the damage difference really counts mid-game. If you're a couple levels higher and are leveling Q and W, then you are both tanky and you're doing decent damage, even if the damage falls behind later on. Sometimes your teammates have heal, lifesteal, or some other plan already in place for health management anyway, but you could play support like that. I could be underestimating the early-game benefit of that.

I don't know why there aren't that many tank builds. After AP Alistar owned the tournament, they nerfed his AP scaling... and now all everyone talks about is how to make AD work. X-P

Maybe, but I'm not sure what I'd give up. Randuin's if there's not much AD maybe? Or Force of Nature in the opposite case? I can't really throw out the CDR.

Thanks so much for the build! I'm a fairly new Alistar player and really enjoyed him during his Free Champ rotation so after buying him I've been roaming around for a good home build that fits my style of play. Think I've found it!

Thanks, I'm glad it's working. Not that many pure tank builds on here, but sometimes that's all you want.

Smart. -20 damage per second.

Well, that's just counting raw HP5. That's not counting the unique passives on Spirit Visage OR Force of Nature.

Very solid, and it's pretty close to what I use.

Most ******ed thing ive heard "Alistar is a support/tank char, not being able to dmg champs"

what makes u think that, try playing ap ali, and ul be surprised of the dmg u do,

Fine, downvote the whole build because of that one line. Have you even played the build? Is it not an effective build? If it's not, tell me why it doesn't work and then downvote it, but don't downvote me for not sufficiently appreciating a totally different play style that has little to do with this build.
