Ubuntu is EASIER than Windows..
It's just when you wanna play games that everything gets complicated (because all games are developed for Windows).

Why Mint?

Why Mint?

Pretty much the most "open" and most "up to date" version.

That would mean? I've used Wine several times in Ubuntu.

The talk is that when you install, or update to whatever one will do this, WINE has is built in already and will take a look at your windows partition and automatically, with your permission, install it to your linux partition and set up the icons for you and everything.
Takes away the hassle of installing it, getting drivers finding the program setting it up in WINE and so forth.
That sounds cool. What are the cons of Mint?

So far the only thing that I have against it is the add/Remove Program interface is, well, not there. Tho you can always use Synaptius...(I think thats it tho Im sure spelling is way off and Im to lazy to look.) Other than that because of its very low problems and easy to use OS if this is still true its the 4th most used OS right now.
Canonical's Ubuntu has it beat.
