Offtank has the least amount of weaknesses. AP has the most.
"Blizzard spoke thus; Thou shalt not BM. And the players replied Nay, I shall Play my hand with Lethal already on the board. And so Blizzard sent unto them this Brawl of Yogg, As a lesson for their sins of Pride and Greed, for he is the Prophet of Madness and RNG. On that day, the tavern descended into an era of chaos and darkness, until the weekend passed and everyone forgot all about it. Amen. Book of SMOrc, Verse 20, Chapter 4." - Feam T
I answered one of the questions you stated in the OP..
"every now and again you come across a game that has so little emotional connection to who you are that you end up standing there, gazing at the screen and saying "I'm just pressing buttons and my life has no meaning,"" - Colin Campbell
well off-tank has a reasonably boring early game which should involve in just farming until around level 6. I have tried different styles and builds but this seems the best method.
I'm interested to try SK Wickds irelia build:
Doran's shield, boots, chalice, hex-drinker (or atmas), triforce, wit's end, G.A
seems like a more aggressive irelia

Offtank or bulky AD Irelia is the way to go imo. Offtank Irelia if you're forced to and bulky AD Irelia if you're allowed to.
Full AP Irelia doesn't work, at least for me.
AD carry Irelia can work if you're stomping (similiar to stacking items).
Hybrid Irelia works surprisingly well if you play bulky AD and mix in a Rageblade.
Only AS / on hit Irelia doesn't work but it's better than AP.
So my 3 ways are, offtank, bulky AD and hybrid Irelia.
Regrowth > Philo > Boots > HoG > Wits End > Trinity Force
offtank: 3 tank items (Banshees, Randuins, Force of Nature, Atmas)
bulky ad: Brutalizer > 2 tank items > Youmuus Ghostblade
hybrid: Rageblade > 2 tank items

Actually I try to understand how all her builds works and their strenght / weakness but I need some help !
I tried :
- offtank , well the most used build
- AD bulky , just a more ad and damage oriented build but dont change her role too much
- full AP , seems to be a very powerful assassin with lichbane + ulti damage and a decent E
- AD carry , dont tried it , your comments ?
- hybrid , seems like a variation of ad with more powerful ulti , comments ?
- AS / on hit , no burst but nice sustained damage , seems only good for backdoor xD
what do you think of this builds pros/cons ? and if you have even others builds plz share it :o
