I've been maining Orianna for awhile now, and I've only had to go against an enemy Orianna three times since about a week after Orianna free week.
Other unpopular yet viable champs include Urgot, Cassiopeia, and (but not as uncommon) Annie. If you're looking for something more in the support ballpark, play Soraka or Taric. Though supports get more popular in higher ELO, as long as you stick to Normal games, you'll almost never see another of the champion you're playing.
As an afterthought, Anivia and Karma are also moderately less popular.
