Good basic guide, and the mastery build makes me think over a lot of things about Akali. This is built more towards survivability, which is great.

I mean, guides made by players like Westrice have their own playing style, and their runes and masteries reflect that. I happen to like this build much more than that of Westrice's, and as a matter of fact, I usually build exactly the same build as you, minus the guardian angel.

Great overview of how to use and proc her q, I've seen too many Akalis this week running around being literally useless, trying to build attack speed and crit %.

Okay I gave you an upvote. You have a good build and your guide shows a lot of promise. Keep adding more sections on gameplay, strategy, and situational items if you want your guide to become more successful. Akali is one of my favorite champions and I love to see more opportunities for other summoners to learn to use her effectively. Good luck with your guide, and I hope some of what I've said is helpful to you.

First of all, while Seals of Fortitude are very effective, I would recommend dodge seals, as they are complimented by your Nimbleness mastery. The small burst of speed after a dodge can easily make or break and escape, or even a chase if it's activated by minion aggro.

My second suggestion is more of a personal preference. While I understand that improved ghost is an important attribute that you should take whenever possible, I think that the small speed boost and cooldown reduction on one summoner spell is not nearly as helpful as the 4% damage reduction from Tenacity. This mastery allows Akali to be deceptively survivable, being able to absorb (or dodge, if you take my advice on the seals) more damage than other champions with the same amount of health.

As I said, both of these are suggestions. I wouldn't blame you for using the build you have now, but I think these two tweaks will improve Akali's survivability against any team composition.
