Only difference is the
Stacking items are not very viable. o.o
I would say to you that Infinity Edge isn't viable either. Please don't downrate me because you have another Akali guide up here. You said yourself that a snowballing Akali is one of the scariest things you've ever seen. I've put up a section that specifically says not to get the snowball items if you aren't getting early game kills.
i like your build except for sword of the occult. I understand snowball items can be very effective but getting 2 can set you back a fair bit. The only time i do well with this build is when i have a very good mid game - as in im lucky to get a few kills from ganking. If this does happen, i will always own afterwards but that is a very risky build. I still like it. I agree with ur runes, masteries and summoner spells.
This build is definitely a high risk / high reward, but you should kinda get the feel of whether you're gonna be fed or not. If you're getting 2-3 early game kills, pick up Mejai's and Sword. If not, ignore them and build Revolver instead. I understand your immediate dislike of Sword of the Occult, but I choose it because of her second passive. When you have over 700 AP and can nuke like no other, you naturally get targeted first in a team fight. The massive amount of AD you get increases your Spell Vamp pretty high and I often go solo dragon to get health back when I have full stacks. It's kind of scary to be honest. Also, Akali is better when she can lane with some sort of CC, so if you've only been going mid, I would suggest going top or bot with a teammate. You tend to get more kills in the other lanes because people are more aggressive and less cautious when they have another person there with them. When they over-extend, make them pay for it.
