I expected this guide to be bad but I didn't expect it to be this full of garbage. I'm not mad, really. This is just very funny.
Pure AP Mord? Ok, maybe. But then you go double Rabadon. You do know that its passive is unique right? It would be better to go with any other AP item than an expensive item just for AP.
Warmog's is a scrub item. It is overpriced by about a 1000 gold. Any other defensive item is more economical. You just don't see Warmog's in any sort of competitive play.

Short version of my Thornmail argument - I don't get it every game myself on Morde, but it fits him so much better than most champs. Every good team will have one or two AD carries, which are made worthless against you because of a Thornmail.
I agree that Warmog's sucks on Morde. First of all, armor and mr is more cost-effective until around 130 of each I believe. Also, even if this weren't true, health doesn't go well with Morde's passive at all. You should get AP earlier to give his shield a boost or else get armor/mr to make it harder to penetrate your shield. Get freaking something that goes well with the already-op shield and abuse it!
If you are going to get health, you should definitely get a Rylai's instead. At least it gives you some AP and an ownage slow as well. More than one deathcap is a bad joke on any champion btw. You could get an Hourglass, Rylai's, Abyssal, Gunblade, or something instead of one of them.

Warmog's beefs Morde up considerably while adding health regen.. it allows you to skip Scepter which isnt as effective for a Morde because his attacks are AOE... it is the best option because it allows you to get beefy (3k+ HP) while still having +600AP item'd out.. go try it, you'll like it
So, in this build, you have 84 armor, and 89 magic resist at full build.
Your hp pool is 3860, this means that you have an EHP of 7180.
With a GA, your hp pool is 3241, and you have 152/126.5 resists, for an EHP total of 7746 ehp.
Basically, GA is a completely superior item for 400 less gold.
Also, GA synergizes MUCH better with your passive and your spell vamp.
Warmog's is just a ****ing bad item.
