I think people are seriously ****ing underestimating what getting hit by this build would feel like.

This is true. I only used the word "overrated" because most Kog guides say you must have magic pen.
As a general rule, when both ARP or MRP could work, neither will work as well as they would on other damage champions.
They say you must have MPen because W, or any on hit effect, as your focused upon damage source requires you to have penetration to get better than 50% of your damage on target.
The core is SOTD + Trinity. The later items don't matter nearly as much and should vary based on the game.
Magic Pen is overrated on Kog because your damage is always going to be split between magic and phys. Even with a malady+bloodrazor build you are still going to be doing about 40% physical damage.
It'll be less then 40% if you include w. Why not have a core that actually does major dmg, that's the point of a carry.

If you are gonna roll with an IE, i suggest getting crit to capitalize on it, otherwise it's not really worth it. A phantom dancer instead of SOTD would be good. I know this is a hybridy build so I won't comment on not having magic pen. Btw with 3 items worth 4k gold, this is a mad expensive build. It might be more beneficial to capitalize on either IE or bloodrazor, but whatever works for you. And by capitalize I mean getting crit for IE and AS/magic pen for razor.
