Generally that is a good guide for laning and realy helpful, but what i really need to know about galio is the champs he can counter in mid and the champs he cant counter on ranked games. Add some info on that sugestion and it will give a massive boost to your guide ;)

A great item for galio is Athene's Unholy Grail (a total 110 AP including passive, 40 MR, 15 mana regen:5 , mana regen on kills/assists and CDR)

looks nice :D but isnt it better to take some early points in Righteous gust because of you farming? If you do, you can easily clear a minion wave. But nice build and i love the rest :)

Why don't you use a 0/23/7 Build?
The only thing you're really loosing out over the other tree is the XP bonus and a 1% speed bonus. You're not normally going to get blue and I feel the final tier in the Defensive tree is better than the final tier in the Utility tree.
With that build you get more health, defensive bonuses, better CD red, and a little big of extra money which I feel outweigh the utility bonuses.
Is 3pts in Evasion really worse than Vigor, Indomitable, Siege Commander, and Initiator? I read one comment that mentions that.
Thornmail is also a good item that syncs with his ult well, assuming the other team has a decent ad output. You mention it but don't give it enough credit over other defensive items. It's fairly cheap too.

Very, very fine guide & build... I never ever played Galio, even though I'm a LoL player for a very long time... After reading through your guide I suddenly got the urge to try him out!!! Since he is free this week that will be possible! I will vote + even before I try it out, cause it really looks viable, plus a comment from Rcclyder simply makes me wanna play Galio by your way...

I just picked up Galio after playing him in all things a normal game during as a freebie champ and wrecked mid. Than I played him in another normal game and did duo bottom and wrecked again with him. I did stack MR like any noob with him and did well. I found this build and after reading it am going to us it the next time I play. Thanks for the information and explanation

just a idea maby swap the roa and agies this give more damage early game it works better for me at least

I don't think the utility tree is worth of putting 21 points.
