Check out my Blending/Depth tut, and my Flow Tut to(you got a good flow, however when I recommend my Depth tut, I also say to check out my flow one), other then that try not to mess up the render.. If someone can explain that better then me please do :D
Your second one, there is a line that starts off skinn red, then gets bigger and white, it goes over the renders nose, thats not good.. The first one looks alright, just doesnt flow good on the side without render, stuff cross eachother..

Thanks for the advice. Seen what I could do, and I brightened up the hair outline a little with blending, blurred the render with the edges, and tried with that black layer thing.
I finished with two alternatives. I would also do some of the second sig I showed, but it's 2AM.

In my opinion, the first (which I just made) looks TONNES better than the latter, but I had a little more experience doing that one.
Both of them... I feel, could use a LOT more improvement. However, you know that feeling when you know something looks bad but you don't know what you could do to improve it? Yeah. That.
So, any improvements you can recommend?
