Hell, with 600 AP you get about 50% damage with DFG active, and about 10% damage with ult. So
60% damage further reduced by MR >.>
AD Morde is actually pretty decent, it's just a much different play style.

Amumu was released as an AP caster type champion. Not a tank.
But tanking is so much better on him that natural elimination rooted out the AP builds.
To say any champion shouldn't be played a certain way due to the tag Riot slapped on 'em during creation is to utilize the FULL, unbridled power of derp.
