the thing with mord was that he crushed soloQ because he kept pushing his lane like a bawzz and with a ward being pretty safe! you could just rape whatever you were up against in lane.
the only way to shut down mord in lane was ganking him and that doesnt occur often enaugh in soloQ. --> mord not fun to play against --> sometimes banned.
he was not strictly op just wasnt any fun to play against so they wanted to modify him.
