Hi guys,

I'm quite new in LoL and usually standing in the flame wave of the raging community because I'm still learning mechanics of the champions. The problem is that when I have just gotten a bi used to one, the roster changes and everything starts anew.

I want to ask for some recomendations - I prefer some kind of ranged dps. I have around 1300 points. Which champion do you think is the best suited for a newbie like me?

Ashe is a very cheap AD champ and pretty fun to play.

If you are looking for cheap champs that fill a specific role:
AD ranged: Ashe
AP mid: Annie
Support: Sorraka
Tank: Malphite, not that great a champion but pretty fun to play when you are just getting started.

These champions cost next to nothing and fill all the major archetype's. I suggest you play each of these champs for a couple of games and see which one suits your playstyle the best. Based on that experience you can buy other champions.

Maphis is completely right, and here is another tip: except of the champs which are extremely cheap and the ones Maphis already said, you should always try out a champion before you buy him.
That's what the champion rotation is useful for: you can test many champs (though you'll see that some will almostly never be available , eg vlad).
I, for example, wanted to buy Galio, until I tried him: he is good, but seriously cannot play him, I always fail, dunno why.
Just remind that when it's about buying a champ^^
Have you ever played Jarvan on 3o3?
...Just try it out!
+Rep is always nice b(^.^)d

Kanakotka: Fiddle, you are the culmination of all things wrong at the internet.
-You have numbers in your name.
-Your name is mispelled
-and you're a ******* idiot.

I would try, as a beginner:

For Ranged/DPS: Ashe (just 450 IP, and she can be very strong if you practice with her)
For AP: Annie (also 450 IP, but has very good spells and can nuke)
For DPS/AD: Master Yi (also 450 IP, very high movement speeds/attack speed, can deal very much damage!)

I don't recommend Master Yi for DPS/AD... He lacks survability, is very often focused and needs a niiiice amount of experience to not feed and backdoor or kill people on teamfights...

but annie and ashe are great choices, ashe "permanent" slow is just so ****ing good for you and your team... and annie is rude, and have 2 stuns...
Thx for Nyoike for this sig! Tanks FTW s2

Yeah but Master Yi has his meditate so beginners can take a few steps back from fighting and use Meditate to heal himself!

Support you can try getting the free Alistar from the Youtube promo, though he's REALLY hard to get the hang of. Tristana is an AD Carry who is free as well from the Facebook promo.

Tank wise, getting cho'gath or amumu is ok. cho'gath requires that you be able to land AoE spells and amumu NEEDS to jungle (which is actually viable with a leash and defense masteries)

this is actually a great guide on Mobafire (not mine) that helps decide which characters are good choices for each role for beginners.

honestly Ashe is was one of the easiest ranged to play, and i think she was my first. tristana is a little more tricky but shes free!! Ali is hard to effectively play but if u get the hang of him it would help you a lot. but honestly, dont let others hate deter you from learning. if theyre really serious then they should know that everyone starts off somewhere :) just try those. have fun!
