Greetings summoners.

My gamer tag is Little_T_79 and I am one of the Leaders at Fever Clan (www.feverclan.com). Yes, I know that there are already more than a couple posts recruiting for my clan, but some of these threads have misrepresented us in one way or another. I have come here today so you can get questions answered directly from one of the people who makes Fever Clan such a great community.

Let me make this short and sweet...

What can I expect from Fever Clan?
1. A LFG LoL chatroom that has over 100 members in it during most times of the day
2. A TeamSpeak 3 server that is free for all members to join with over 22 LoL channels
3. Multiple competitive ranked playing squads to try out for
4. Forums that are up to date, look great and feature threads from our 1,000 + members
5. A community that does not tolerate any sort of raging, disrespect or racism

How do I join?
1. Visit http://www.feverclan.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/31-Fever-Recruiting
2. Answer the following questions with an application thread of your own:
What game(s):
Age: (Your Exact Age)
Gender:
Country (Currently residing):
Call of Duty name:
Battlefield User name :
StarCraft & League of Legends:
Steam name:
Rift & Forsaken World:
XFire:
Do you have a MIC/teamspeak:
Recruited by (if anyone):
Are you in a clan now:
Have you ever been in a clan before:
What clans were you in:
Does anyone else use your computer for gaming?
Do you know how to use these forums:
Why We Should allow you to be in the clan:
Other information you want to share:
Have you read the rules?
3. Post the thread and wait from me or one of the other leaders to get in touch with you. Its that easy!

Please feel free to post any questions that you may have for me or the other Fever Leadership below. I will be more than happy to answer anything about our community.

Looks like those who were causing problems for our clan on this site have left the clan. I thank you for your time and reading what a leader of Fever Clan had to say.

I still look forward to any questions you may have for me.

Happy gaming,
LT

If you're posting here then I'm hoping you're open to questions. I've been looking for a community/clan to play League with to befriend some competitive players for ranked play, and I've given your forums/rules/apps a looking over.

Your rules seem fairly standard except for the requirement of forum activity. What does your definition of "activity" mean? I don't want to join a community where I just spam post and make myself look like I don't care just to meet the quota.

Second, your application format seems fairly solid, but one line caught me off guard:
"Don't try to be funny or creative, take this seriously because that's how we treat it."

I've run several clans in several different games before and most were successful, and I understand a lot of where your rules/protocols/formats come from with a leadership perspective, but this seems a little off. Taking an application format seriously and being funny/creative aren't mutually exclusive in my eyes.

If you can't be yourself in an application I find myself asking what it'll be like within the community, and the people I'd be dealing with. When I was personally dealing with applications the creative ones not only caught my eye, but would generally turn out better members. I realize there's a format that needs following, but to stifle someone's personality ruins the point of the applications in my opinion, as it's a chance to get to know them for who they are before they represent your tags.

Alright, lets take these one at a time.

Your rules seem fairly standard except for the requirement of forum activity. What does your definition of "activity" mean? I don't want to join a community where I just spam post and make myself look like I don't care just to meet the quota.

Forum activity in Fever is VERY simple to do. To remain active all you must do is sign in once every couple of weeks. Thats it! It literally takes two seconds to do while your checking your email, or whatever else you may be doing. Now if you are MORE active, such as posting threads with substance, adding to the conversation, etc. there is a chance to be promoted to 'officer' status (since we follow a military ranking system). It allows for a feeling of achievement when hard work has been put into the community.

Second, your application format seems fairly solid, but one line caught me off guard:
"Don't try to be funny or creative, take this seriously because that's how we treat it."

Dont read all that much into this recent addition into our rules. When we ventured from being a FPS only clan into being a true gaming community we went from having 2 to 3 applications a day to about 20 or 30, and we could only handle so many 'You should allow me into the clan because I am 1337' applications. True, we could re-word this a little better, but we do not mean it to come off the way you took it. Fever Clan has thousands of members who are all their own person. We all have different personalities and gaming styles that together make up our community, and that is just the way we like it. I hope that if you apply you are as honest and true to yourself as possible. That line was added to tell you that we think our community is pretty cool, and if you do not want to take the time to give us why you think you would be a good fit, then it probably wont work out.

I really hope if you are interested you stop by our TS or add me on Xfire (littlet790) to talk a bit. I would love for the chance to get to meet another gamer, I always am.
