no real story...but since I usually know to expect from these houses, I help build up the suspense for the actors to scare my group.
example: If you tell people that they're being followed in a dark setting, their ears tend to perk up and the surrounding noise (footsteps, crows etc) amplify.
My friends never needed me to build it up. They got scared easily, but I may go back next year to see if they improved. Better yet I maybe one of the actors.
Dress up like a monk step out from the darkness, cover their mouth and put a knife to their throat, "Retribution for thy sins." That ought to scare them.
