There looks to be some formatting problems a few areas: and lack of formatting in others. You have some pretty good ideas, but a lot of them are countered by redundant thought process and poor explanations. Several things you have are just redundant. You don’t need as much CDR as you think you do with Arcane Mastery and Overload’s passive AND Frozen Heart. Your Runes don’t make a whole lot of sense to me as well, mostly because your explanations are really very weak in several areas. If I challenged you on this build I probably would reveal a severe lack of knowledge.

• Explain a lot more summoner spells: I was disappointed in the lack of Clarity in your guide.
• Explain Ryze’s skill set. Assume that your reader knows nothing about the subject matter at hand know what he does or how to use it. If I play Ryze right now I would be going in bind
• Better use of Formatting. Use Icons and columns cleverly to boost the appearance of the guide.

-I like your explanation on masteries. So far the best I have seen.

- i take AAS because when I played I noticed after completing it that my Damage on Overload and other spells didn't increase at all :/ well, very little. I like using the gold on more useful items then just completing AAS.

- the AP in offense tree is so miniscule for Ryze. I want to get the +dmg in order to kill minions with my auto attack as poor Ryze doesnt do very much with his little auto attack :(

- when i play Ryze i always get so beefy and hurty that they ALWAYS TARGET ME, so i decided to do damage from behind without interruptions. i need someone to initiate for me or else i get shut down.

Constructive Criticism:

• Are you sure about taking AAS at end game?
• You take Ad masteries instead of AP in the offense tree?
• Don't list the volibear patch if there aren't any changes required.
• Staying in the back with ryze? You are like one of the most tanky mages..... Don't stay in the back but more in the middle :p.

I found this guide very helpful, it has improved my Ryze game immensely.

The style you're talking about will make early kills hard. I get prism first cuz it will secure level 1 kills with a team mate much better. As I explained, the ability power won't carry at all, but the attack damage will for you in the beginning. It'll help you kill minions a lot better. The damage you want is from Q and W, not E. E and R should be used as cool down reducers on Q. If you use R>E>W>Q then you only get 1 hit of Q.... you're not using what Ryze is all about at all 0.0

um is this a joke, you took +2 atk dmg in offensive and 2 vs minions, granted his AP doesnt carry well but it's better then ad. Also starting with a Mana Gem doubles the power of a lvl 1 Q, you can take prison at 2, it doesnt take long to lvl, a lvl 3 q would give you a masssive hit vs anyone with a mana gem, your prison should be leveled once and ignored till Q is done then it's an even back and forth between your E and W. comboming R>E>W>Q gives you an aoe nuke/spell vamp and reduces the magic resistance for W and Q to basicaly NUKE your target while healing you. Since we have new masteries im just gonna make a build. It will closely resemble the CDR/Mana from previous builds. Ryze is a Mana/CDR caster battery who gets more powerful with mana not AP
