ive played 3 games with ap yi mid, won 3 by raping karthus, annie and ezreal mid, alpha strike pokes melted them and also very sustainable and useful late game

Decent guide! I would also like to comment ob a few things:

1. Regarding Summoner spells, I have found that Serge is extremely useful for Yi because it provides both atk speed as well as ap. This is potentially a devastating skill as it is not so situationally dependant as flash due to it's simplicity. You may find yourself being ambushed, you pop your heal and survive the initial burst, then throw exhaust, serge with ulti, and watch Yi turn to a killing machine. Note also that serge helps you take blue at start if there's no jungler as well as taking down towers even faster.

2. While I agree that if farming is going well at start then you can rush for RDeathcap, I think that going for ZET is also a viable option as having the CDR with ap and manareg allows you to practically spam alpha strike at midgame, thereby farming easier and putting higher pressure at lanes.

3. Lastly, I rarely use those boots because with standard magic pen runes, you deal sufficent dmg. Magic pen is efficient against those who go for mresist. I personally think that atkspeed boots are better for ap yi as it combines with his ulti and serge.
