Ezreal has always been a good solo laner, it's just the support+ad bot lane taht forces him bot.

I've played against Malph solo top. It is not fun if you can't constantly remove his shield.

Malphite is excellent against right clicker champs.
Prolly the hardest counter to Trynd.

Volibear is freaking strong.
Slow, backthrow and nice dmg.

Well would always prefer GP or Olaf .. pushing all day all night & still escape :3

Olaf and Nasus my personal favorites for solo top. Maybe Olaf more since its so easy to dominate, especially if enemies have ****py jungler which never ganks. And my friend plays amazing Malphite solotop, and combine that ultimate with Fiddlesticks Jungler. 2 good ultimates and its ACE.

I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

nah, Volibear is more on the meh side. Pretty average.
Maybe I just didn't saw any good solo top Volibear, but I felt like he's pretty weak up there, especially after playing him myself a bit.
